To have to wait a week to go fishing again because of work? (do not post if you are retired :bigsmurf: ) Fishing is like going surfing, it takes all your worries away Brah!

Wow, everybody likes waiting? Ever since I caught my 1st bass I can't stop thinking about it. it's like bass crack. Its calling my name man! It's more addicting than saltwater fishing. I think it is the thrill of the hunt. This is a sophisticated type of fishing to me .

i am totally addicted, this is my first serious year.

literally if i have 8 hours before a shift ill drive an hour to my lake just to fish for a little lol, then drive back. do it all the time

I caught my first 4lb LM a week ago, been running to the lake every chance I get since then, I dont think I could wait a week right now, I would be climbing the walls. Ever see the King Of The Hill episode called Jumpin Crack Bass?

I hate waiting to fish.  I work 6 days a week so I try to go out early in the mornings before work.  I usually get out 2-3 times a week so it doesn't bother me much but a guy I work with only gets to fish once every 2 weeks.  I couldn't do it.

Best episode ever.  Liked it before I started fishing and then after I started it made it that much better.

I wish I had time to go fishing before work, I get up 5am to catch the 5:48 train to the city, and i don't get home till 6p.  By 6p its already getting dark.  If I had started fishing around August and September I would of had alot more light. The good thing though is that I have a three day weekend every other week, and on the Fridays I do work I get out a hour early. So Im gonna see if I can get to my local pond today when I get home, and then I have saturday and Sunday ofcourse.

I am spoiled I have a pond in my back yard. I fish at least one time a day.  I also have 7 lakes and 4 rivers that are at max 45 miles away.

I'm fortunate to have a couple of small community lakes within 10 minutes of my house. One of them is also about 2 minutes from my office. I fish there during my lunch break (weather permitting) almost every day. The 6+ pounder in my avatar came on one of these noon fishing trips. I also fish for a couple of hours in the evening a couple of times a week.

The closest lake or pond by my work is at Central Park, and I don't have enough time during lunch to go. Im gonna try some evening fishing... Hmmm, got to find out what the hours are at the pond in the park by my house.

Sometimes I get bored of it.. I mean is that all there is?

Tempt, catch, look, release.. rinse and repeat.. bigger the better.

Sigh...

Then I get over that pretty quickly and look for another opportunity to go fish!

Wooohooo

You would think it would get boring, but its different every time even if it is in the same location every time.

Being retired sucks too I get to go everyday trying to predict the spawn and post spawn when the bigger gals come off the beds. Just as the bite starts to pick up

My misses wants to go on vacation. Since she is the bread winner I can say no. It's no picnic being retired. But I fish through the prespawn, spawn, and post spawn right until the hot weather comes. When I was working we fished every night after work 24/7. The misses walked the dogs while we fished.

When I first tried using senkos and the bite was on the misses wanted to go on vacation. Bummer I was up to 9/10 bass per outing from shore. I hated leaving my bass fishing when the bite is on and the numbers are up. Bill

I try to go fishing at least three times a week, I get out at 2:30 and I don't have to pick up my kids til 6:00 on two of the days that I work so I go fishing till a quarter after five those days then I have one day all to myself while they are in school and that day is like heaven I get to fish from 7:00 a.m. till 5:15 p.m. I have about ten ponds on base that I frequent and five or six different lakes within 20 minutes, winter is startin to close in here in jersey though so there may not be a whole lot of time left to fish

I have to add this every time I stopped fishing to go on vacation we went to Maine. My first stop was the Kittery Trading Post in Kittery,Maine. They have tons of freshwater and saltwater fishing gear, there gun shop, besides all the quality clothes and boots/shoes for any occasion. There fly shop is top notch too. If your into all the outdoor sports there plan on spending a day there.

We would drive up the coast to LLBEAN too. My point is leaving bass fishing behind does have its perks.

I love the Maine way of life. Bill

I fished with a guy who stuck a live minnow in each bass he caught mouths just before he released it while saying thanks for biting.
