These are my last two new rods. Well unless I find a 6' bait caster I like.

I bought a 7'2" Lew's extra heavy, extra fast bait caster rod and a lews 7' med/lt spinning rod. I figure these will round out my setups then I can try them all to see what I like better. These rods list for $99 and 50% off there $49 each. I'm thinking once I start using the other 6'6" / 7' rods why go shorter with the other actions.

I'm thinking the Lew's extra, extra will be good for pike or

My heavier castaic trout lure. I'm thinking my 7' med/lt spinning rod

Will throw my lighter weight lures farther.

I have the room from shore to use the 6'6"/7' rods too.

So far out of my four new bait casters the Berkley lightening, the quantum KVD tour, Garcia vengeance and the Berkley lightening shock rod I like the feel of the vengeance and the shock rod. But I never used rods like this before so time will tell. Bb

Go to " fish and save .com " He has some bait casting reels in the spincast section if anyone is looking. He is sold out out but a new listing of them will be posted soon. Some of his rods are very affordable.

A lews rod for $49 that lists for $99 that's hard to pass up.

Plus he has rods for every budget wether it's a $5 rod or a $49 either way it can or keep you fishing that's the most important thing. I used the Shakespeare and south bend fishing rods for most of my life. I probably logged more hours of fishing using a zebco 202 reel more than any other reel I have now as a kid too. I'm just as happy to be fishing now as I was back then. I guess fishing can bring back the memories of when we were just kids fishing.
