What is your opinion on an Abu Garcia 6'9" or 7" Veritas MH fast for frogging, cranks and spinnerbaits?

I would prefer the 6'9"

longer is better, at least that what girls always told me.

lol, but 6'9" or 7'? how much can 3" make in a rod?

It depends on what you need the rod to do. The 6'9" will give you slightly more accuracy which is useful when shallow cranking, and casting frogs and spinnerbaits around cover. On the other hand, the 7' will have slightly longer casts which is ideal for deep cranking. The 7' will also pick up line faster on the hooksets. It's up to you and you made a great choice on the veritas

Unless you get the Veritas Winch, I wouldn't use the Veritas for cranking. It is a powerful rod with a fast-extra fast tip. I tried running squarebills, mid divers and lipless cranks on my 7' and 6'9MH when I had them and hated them for those applications. However, for spinners and frogs, a 7'MH/F is a nice choice.

Look at grip lengths as well.  A lot of times gaining that 3" of rod may yeild only 2-1" of casting length.

Unless I'm fishing from shore or on someone elses boat I've moved to rods 7'+.  For spinnerbaits and frogs, I think the Veritas is great, but if you use cranks often I think you'd be dissapointed for the reasons Arv points out.
