Man what a shame! People in this world are just sick. I will never understand how some people can just take someone's life like its nothing, I hope they catch this s**mbag to give Jimmy Johnson's family some closure.

It's scary when you travel to fish and you end up staying in dangerous areas. We don't know all the details, but it's sad whether you know the angler or not. In this case, I knew Jimmy.

That rotten piece of excrement who committed this terrible crime should be sentenced to 99 years in the electric chair.

Pearl River gator bait is what he should be.

man walks out of room and finds someone stealing is stuff, Thug shoots him.

THIS is why you got to carry every time out the front door, rain, shine, walking the dog, getting the mail.

Terrible, what a waste of a life in both cases. Hopefully they'll catch the guy so he can't steal a loved one from anyone else.

Hey, this happens all the time...people screwing around with our boats and tackle.

A number of years ago three guys stole the stainless steel props off boats in South Hill, Virginia. Now the motel has security and good lighting and has never had any more problems.

South Hill police said they would try to find the stolen props but thought they were in North Carolina by the time they arrived and would be sold in a week. Since no one saw a vehicle there was nothing law enforcement could do.

Sad times when people try to steal our tackle, props and even the boats if they get the opportunity.

This makes no sense, at all.

And worse, if we shoot first, to protect our selves and possessions, we are the bad guy.

There was a walleye tourney a couple years ago on the Wisconsin River. They stripped the boats down including kicker motors. Best bet is to drag all your crap inside with you and leave the storage unlocked. It prevents damage to the boat and the scum will be on there way with nothing to steal.
