I have a new Revo Stx and it has a little more back play in the handle than I would like.I was wondering is their something I can do to adjust it or make it less.It isn't horrible,I just thought it should be zero backplay.Any info on the subject would be great. Thank you.

All of my Shimanos have backplay. I think that I have read on this forum that Diawa has no backplay or a lot less backplay than Shimano does. I think that with Shimano, backplay comes with the territory so to speak.

All the new Revo 3s have backplay in them, as for the Lews, they're made in the same factory as Abu and share same or similar parts.

The new Lews BB1 has 2 models, 1 has what they call multi-stop anti reverse which has back play purposely, old school crankbait guys like the back play in the reel.

Yes I have a Daiwa(older) and it has the least backplay of my other reels.Thank you for all the input. It is just the way they are made it appears. My Revo Stx performs well so far .

I have the same issue with my brand new Lews BB1. Seems sloppy to me.. :Idontknow:

Which BB1 is it? The standard BB1 with the 5:1 ratio has the multi stop reverse and is not an instant anti reverse.
