Super User clayton86 Posted October 13, 2013 Super User Posted October 13, 2013 Man these guys are noisy and annoying just before climbing out of my stand today I decided to take a poke at 41yds. Now to kill a coyote or fox with the bow and get this guy mounted with the fox/coyote. A deer would be nice at some point also. Quote
preach4bass Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Nice shot! I've got a black squirrel mounted in my living room. Do y'all have many of them up there? Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted October 14, 2013 Super User Posted October 14, 2013 That's cool! They're rare around here. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted October 14, 2013 Super User Posted October 14, 2013 We have certain areas were these squirrels are black. Near me I seen Gray squirrels and brown and beige squirrels. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 14, 2013 Global Moderator Posted October 14, 2013 That's cool! They're rare around here. Actually illegal to shoot in some areas in KS. They even have the right of way in traffic Don't ask how I know this http://www.skyways.org/towns/Marysville/squirrel.html Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted October 14, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 14, 2013 I hadn't seen one in probably 10 years this hunting season I've seen probably 30 diffrent ones. This one stand I've been sitting has all black squirrels it seems they are everywhere. Quote
Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted October 14, 2013 Super User Posted October 14, 2013 ive never seen one around here!! nice shot btw Quote

Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted October 15, 2013 Super User Posted October 15, 2013 PSU-Altoona campus has a bunch. Wife was shooting wedding pics there this weekend and they were running around. Very cool indeed. Quote
endless Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 A squirrel at 41 yards?? Come on Clayton lets get real here, you scoped him with the new Ruger 10/22 Takedown. lol But no seriously amazing shot. Congrats Clayton. A deer just doesn't stand a chance. What's you longest shot on the compound?I'm hoping to get a compound next year. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted October 16, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 16, 2013 I practice to 70yds for pure fun but I limit my shots on deer to 40 and under if I can. Every deer I've had the opportunity to shoot this season has been from 5-20 yards just about all have walked directly under me but all are little button bucks or fawns. Quote
bamafishnfool Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Never seen one round these parts either. Congrats on the shot! Quote
