ROCbass Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Has anyone ever used St. Croix reels? I don't think I've ever even seen one in a store, but they have them on their website. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these. Quote

Gotcha Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I have the 2500 spinning reel, bought it eight years ago. Solid no frills reel, use it for salmon and trout in the fall. Cheers and tight lines Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted October 12, 2013 Super User Posted October 12, 2013 They are made by Daiwa. Quote
kingkong85 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Last time I checked their site they only make spinning reels. I have the smaller spinning reel paired with st croix premier 6'6". Haven't used it much but when I did it is a smooth reel. Caught a 2lb striper on it. to be fair the striper hit the lure near the shore so the fish didn't put up a fight. On a side note it came with another spool. Quote

LMB ANGLER Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 They are made by Daiwa. if they are made by daiwa, they have to be good quality Quote
ROCbass Posted October 12, 2013 Author Posted October 12, 2013 They are made by Daiwa. I had a hunch this might be the case when I saw the knob on the 2000 size spinning reel was the same as the knobs on my Advantage baitcaster. Quote
