Super User Felix77 Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 This is the worst Giants team I have ever seen. They just seem to be so inconsistent. I can usually suffer through the winters knowing that my team has a fighting chance to be competitive in their division. Not this year. I need something else to keep me from crawling into a dying hole and die this winter. Those with kids or kids at heart might get the "dying hole" comment. 1 Quote
Super User Darren. Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 Hey Felix, there's this great upstart of a team on the other side of NY. Buffalo Bills! They would welcome you with open arms! Quote
KevO Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 There's also another team that plays in the same stadium, and isn't as bad as everyone thought they would be. The giants O line can't block anyone, Eli is running for his life every down, and their D can't get to the QB either. I hope we draft well this year, maybe we can get the #1 pick... 1 Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 Its rough for Giants fans LOL Peyton is having the best start for QB in NFL History and Eli is having the worse start for a QB in NFL history lol I bet he wishes he could trade places with big brother Cooper right now lol. But the giants need to do something drastic which would be to bench Eli! which will never happen. Maybe you guys should tank the season if you are not trying to sure looks like it lol. Get a high draft pick and get you a QB or Clowney since you need a pass rush. I grew up in NJ and am an Eagles fan so all my friends were Giants fans and they had A LOT to say now NO A WORD lol 1 Quote

Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 You are a brave man. I lived in Philly for 3 years. It was dangerous walking around with Giants gear. LOL Yea man it's different in NJ though since it's neutral lol you have south NJ who ride with Eagles or Phillies and northern who ride with Giants/ Jets or Yankees/ Mets. I was born in south NJ so my younger years were Eagles and Phillies (I was only into them because my best friends dad had season tickets and would take me and my dad, my dads a Eagles/Yankee fan). We moved to jersey shore area when I was 7 or 8 and I became a Yankee fan because my dad had season tickets. He was so proud that I like the same teams he does. Never forget I went to Eagles Falcons game when ATL had Vick, was always my favorite player in NFL. It had snowed so there was still snow in stadium and Falcons were beating us I think ATL ended up winning too. A bunch of eagles fans were pelting snowballs at a father and his son who both had on Vick jerseys, kid couldn't be older than 10. The father took exception to this and was livid which is understandable you have you CHILD next to you. To sum it all up eagles security staff came and instead of removing the fans throwing and instigating they took out the father and son lol. Eagles fans we get a bad wrap but just like any group with a bad wrap there are a select few who justify it lol 1 Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 I am glad. I hate the giants.....Eagles fan here. And as far as fans go everyone has bad ones and as of late i think the San Fran/LA fans have taken the cake. The most fights I have ever seen was in FedEx field and that is multiple times i have gone there....... Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 Eli is the new Romo. Have a seat with us Cowboy fans.....lol. Quote
KevO Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Eli is the new Romo. Have a seat with us Cowboy fans.....lol. Here we go.... Romo's had his chances to be great... he failed repeatedly. LOL, at least you guys can win the division this year. Well unless Romo chokes again. Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 Funny stat about Eli outside his 2 Super Bowl runs he has never won a play off game. And one can say the two Super Bowl wins were off of 2 close my eyes luck passes... I didn't say that it's just what I've heard lol Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 I hear they are looking for a lady in NY wanted for child abandonment. Seems as though she took her 11 kids to them game and left them there. They are beating the Giants 14 - 0 and they want her to come get them. 1 Quote
KevO Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I'm a giants fan, but there's been many years I wondered why they drafted Eli, then he makes a superbowl run and I forget all about it. Now its all coming back LOL. He is definitely no Peyton, but he's clutch when they need him in the playoffs (whether the catches were luck or not). To me it all comes down to they didn't resign the people they needed to and it shows on the field. Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 as a Redskins fan, i love seeing the giants 0-6. the Giants no longer can find some stupid false sense of motivation like they did the years they won their last 2 super bowls. constantly trying to play the "no one respects us" card dont get them up no more. also, Mara may have cursed the Giants. With him being the driving force behind those bogus cap penalties for the cowboys(10 million) and Redskins(36 million). The league admitted both teams did nothing wrong, all contracts were approved by the nfl executive committee. Mara was ticked the cowboys and redskins refused to collude with the rest of the league in the uncapped year. so yeah, its great to see the giants falter down the stretch last year and start off horrid this year. As a redskins fan you should worry about your diva QB and his legs. He doesn't look the same cuz WE THE EAGLES came out week 1 and showed he wasn't all in for week 1 Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 I need te skins to beat Dallas this week BUT RG3 goes down and Romo goes down both ACL injuries that'd be ideal 1 Quote

All i could say was he wasn't even the best rookie on his own team and he is a diva that will come down to earth. Then he had the nerve to say he doesn't need preseason games, come on dude you are pretty much a below average QB this year and will be again next year. Having their training camp here in Richmond we had a lot of local coverage and some of the stuff i heard RG say was pretty ridiculous. And by the way...the skins and cowboys both deserved the penalties they received. And since when does the league ever admit to doing anything wrong. Quote

He doesn't look the same cuz WE THE EAGLES came out week 1 and showed he wasn't all in for week 1 He is slowly getting back to form. any player coming off an injury like that is going to take a few games to feel comfortable again. as for the eagles game, we basically gave yall that game with a rash of 1st half blunders. plus no one knew what to expect with chip kellys offense. he had an excellent opening game script, i will give him that. but come the 2nd half none of that was working. and i forget which game it was, but once i seen Kelly run the swinging gate play, ala jim zorn, i knew he was a joke at the nfl level. he will be just like steve spurrier was...im fully confident the 2nd meeting will go much different... RG3 was definately the best rookie on the team last year. having a playmaking QB can make all the difference in the world. That said, RG3 was saying he did want to play in the preseason, if you got that much coverage then you would know that. everyone knows RG3 was not happy with Shanahans plan to hold him out of preseason and he also complained he wasnt getting enough work in practice and wanted to do more. Once he fully trust his knee, he will be back to making big plays on the regular, to call him below average is highly laughable. to do so and not acknowledge he is coming off a knee injury is even more laughable. Yall can call him a diva if you want, just remember that NFL divas are typically some of the most explosive players in the game at their positions as well(excluding the odd player like freddie mitchell, yall eagles fans should know something about him)... Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted October 12, 2013 Super User Posted October 12, 2013 My question is how long of a leash do you give him? He said he wanted to play in the preseason but when he didn't he then said he didn't need to and he would be ready. He hasn't played well at all this year coming off an injury or not. the way he played in the regular season after having an even longer time to heal and get in shape shows me that he was not healthy enough to play in the preseason anyways. Personally i think they should have just let him sit till this past bye week and bring him back this week and let Cousins play, he is pretty good really and i don't see much of a drop off between the two, especially with RG pretty much not able to run. Explain to me how he is above average this year? Does he have a good upside, sure he does but without him being able to run his game drops off considerably as the fear of the run isn't there. he is and will be injury prone throughout his career just like he was in college. I like the kid but he is a diva who already thinks he is bigger than the game and just needs to learn to keep his mouth shut and play the game. As far as being the best rookie on his team i would say Alfred Morris was the better rookie and Luck was better than both of them and you could probably argue wilson was better than everyone but Luck too. And as far as divas go yeah in other positions but you don't see divas at QB especially from a rookie coming off a second knee injury in what, 3 years? Quote

To the OP - As a Pats Fan - I would have certainly traded the season you're having now for a win in either (or both) of those Super Bowl. Enjoy your season As for RG3, he will have a couple of seasons to prove himself in the NFL. It's not like I dislike the man, seems nice enough, but based on what he's done so far, I going to say that after these first few years, if he's not crippled, he'll be someone's back up QB. Super User Sam Posted October 12, 2013 Super User Posted October 12, 2013 In the biggest play in Ole Miss football history against LSU, Eli fell on his ass. Seems to be happening all over again and again and again and again and again and again this year. And that is good news. 1 Quote

I saw a stat that said that other than his superbowl winning runs he hasn't won a playoff game.....Hard to argue with two wins on the big stage though. Sad thing is i haven't watched a game where i thought they were actually going to win. Coughlin will be gone after this season but as sad as their record is they are still plenty alive in the NFC least. Quote
