Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 Who do you thinks going to be in the world series and win? Quote
Fishwhittler Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I'd like to see a Cards/Tigers series with the Cardinals on top in seven. Wainwright VS Verlander, Wacha VS Scherzer, and Miller VS Sanchez would be something to watch. If only Allen Craig is available by then… Quote
Missourifishin Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I'm a Cardinals fan, so I'm kind of biased... Quote
Brian6428 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I dont have enough time to really follow the playoffs, but I hope its not the cardinals lol. Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 Well i wanted the pirates but now that they are out I want the tigers since there is a local guy who pitches for them by the name of Verlander Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 Don't care. Gave up professional baseball after the last strike and never have gone back. Verlander lives about 20 miles from me and his family is the greatest. If you met them you would love them. His brother is a very good hitter and the brother's dream is to hit a homerun off Verlander. I think his brother is a senior at Old Dominion University or somewhere in the Tidewater area. Quote

Super User MCS Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 I would like a LA vs Boston WS with Boston punching out the dodgers in 6. I think that would be the best series to watch for reasons explained by me and A-Jay in the baseball thread. One more for Big Papi. 1 Quote
aquaholic Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I hate the cards, and what they did to my braves last year. I guess i hope an al team wins Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 I am not really a fan or even like any of the teams that are left so it is more which team do i hate the least. 1 Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 despite the pinned thread at the top of the forum, i doubt there are any baseball fans here lol sorry i couldnt resist 1 Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted October 11, 2013 Super User Posted October 11, 2013 I am a Cardinal fan. I would love to have another shot at Boston! I would agree that Verlander is a beast and Boston or the Cards are not a sure thing. I really enjoy baseball, esp this time of year. Every team left has the tools to win it all. Go Cards! 1 Quote

And to add even more value to your most astute comment ~ My son just call to tell me he's got Tickets to WS Game 6 at Fenway ! And like a good boy - he got one for me. If they even get there that is. Super User A-Jay Posted October 12, 2013 Super User Posted October 12, 2013 I always hated registering for tickets because they sold them so early and i felt like i was jinxing their chances. That's exactly what I told my son and the reason I didn't enter the lottery - But he's a lucky guy and he got picked. A-Jay Quote

A-Jay I have been known to register for playoff tickets in every city and then sell the tickets for a profit on eBay too....in 2009 that method paid for my tickets, hotel and spending money for me and the fiancée to go to Philly to see a playoff game Boston was always a top money maker too Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted October 12, 2013 Super User Posted October 12, 2013 Cards fan here. 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted October 12, 2013 Super User Posted October 12, 2013 Cards fan here. Good Game last night ~ Love seeing the Cards win, but enjoyed watching LA Blow it even more. Hope you guys do it again tonight. I have a feeling St Louis will find Kershaw a little bit more hittable in this one. Good Luck A-Jay Quote
Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted October 12, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 12, 2013 that was an awesome game last night....going cards just because im a Carlos Beltran fan... Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted October 12, 2013 Super User Posted October 12, 2013 Beltran was no doubt the catalyst last night. Having such a long game last night it will be interesting to see how it plays out for the rest of the series sicne bullpen was used a little more than normal and players were out there for a long time. looking forward to today's games for sure.
