How do they compare to the original chatterbait? Just ordered a couple out of curiosity.

They are FANTASTIC.  They are a high quality chatterbait with excellent skirts and mustad hooks.  The blade nicking the football head i ssupposed to get the fish to strike the front of the lure.  The design works as intended.  I have only had one fish strike the trailer and miss the hook, and after ripping off the trailer, he came back and swallowed the lure whole.  I have caught more fish on the KaRu Vibrashock than any other lure this year.  I generally have best luck in dirty/mirky water with it.  Once the water gets pretty clear, I switch to swim jigs, and the poison tails from KaRu work great as well.  Hook up a ZOOM Fat Albert Grub as a trailer, they work great.  If you need a little more water displacement, the ZOOM Twin Tail grubs work great, as well as the GYCB's.

During the spawn and post spawn, it had its own rod and it never came off unless I had to retie.  My best retrieve was a steady slow retrieve.  I have caught a few nice ones by actually stroking it off the bottom, but my best retrieve is a slow steady retrieve along weedlines in an Extreme Bluegill pattern with a ZOOM Green Pumpkin Fat Albert Grub, they nail it.

Thanks for the info. I have found myself latley fishing the chatterbait where I would usually fish a spinnerbait. I can cover more water quickly with the chatterbait. I ordered the Shaddolic and crigger craw colors. We will see  what happens. It just so happens I have some fat Alberts in my bag that rarley get used so now may be the time.

That crigger craw color is deadly as a jig with a Crazy Legs Chigger Craw in Breen color

you made a great purchase.  The vibrashock is my go to bait.  I was fishing an ABA tournament a few weeks ago and my non-boater described it as a chatterbait on steroids.  ;D  and its true!  The way the dart around is unbelievable.  Its not like any other chatterbait on the market today and I will be willing to say it will outfish and outlast everyone of them.  It doesn't have cheap aluminum blades.  It has stainless steel blades that will not bend.

Third cast on the Vibra Shock!Like it already..

Heck yeah.  Nice fish.  I've caught more 4-5lb fish, which are pretty solid fish around here, on the vibrashock than any other bait in my box.  My favorite colors are the blue shimmer cotton candy and the black cherry.  The blue shimmer cotton candy is outstanding.  It looks plain on the website, but drop it in the water and the skirt almost changes colors to blue.  Its their top seller and the number 1 for clear water in my boat.

Did anyone else hear about Z-Man and the patent they put on their chatterbaits?  Apparently, Karu can't sell the Vibrashock anymore because of it!  I'm not sure if that is completely accurate, but Karu has removed them from their website.  I sure this isn't the case because the Vibrashock is the best chatterbait on the market in my opinion!

Sad.....but it is true.

true, they are trying to patent KaRu's design.  They tried once in the past and failed.  They started again for some reason, but KaRu isnt the only company they are going after, just one on a list.  Diff hook, diff, head design, different blade type and design, etc., but from what I understand, KaRu isnt large anough to afford the legal battle so they pulled the Vibrashock until zman gets their patent stuff straightened out.  Sucks when a smaller company putting out quality american made products, has to pull their items because a foreign manufacturer has more money to throw at the court system.
