This 67 year-old man just returned this evening from attending his first Eagles concert.  That band is nothing less than fantastic! They are just as good as they were in the 70's, if not better.  Joe Walsh is still a magician on his guitar.  I brought my 40 year-old daughter with me and she enjoyed it as much as I did.

Funny thing though, I guess the Eagles appeal to a different demographic than other bands.  The youngest person I saw appeared to be about 30.  Most were 40 plus, and I saw only white people.  Another odd thing I witnessed was that everyone was very gracious to each other.  During the mid-performance break I high-tailed it to the restroom and found myself in a line with about 200 people ahead of me.  Not one person attempted to cut into that line.  Everything was very cordial all evening long.  Another sign of the changing times I witnessed was this.  Remember back in the old days when a nostalgic song was played and everyone struck their lighters to wave?  Now, the lighters are gone.  Everyone lights the arena up by turning on their cell phone displays.  Go figure.  I used my lighter anyway.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.  I would highly recommend attendance by anyone who is old enough to appreciate the music of the Eagles.

I remember them coming to town about 20 years ago and the lowest price ticket was $75 needless to say I didn't go. What did the tickets cost now?

I was sitting in the cheapest seats in the arena.  They were $50.  Others ranged from $80 to $180.

My father in law has bought tickets for my wife and I, my brother in law and sister in law, himself, and I believe my other brother in law and sister in law. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I want to go.

After his reaction to taking me and my two sister in laws to see Alice Cooper about 6 years ago. I'm honestly shocked he has invited me back to a concert. The whole incident was blown out of proportion. I mean the security guard agreed not to press charges and let me stay unril the end of the concert. Sheesh.

Raider, the thought of you at an Eagles concert puts a smile on my face. Be rather like a warthog at a butterfly convention. LOL

ROFLMAO! I am so using that comparison.

It describes my thoughts on it perfectly. I don't think I would know how to act at that concert. I mean heck I fell asleep when he took us all to see Brooks and Dunn. Alan Jackson wasn't too bad the three freaking times we have seen him. Eric Clapton about did me in. I realize he is a legend, but I'm gonna have to admit I fell asleep there too. Not enough movement of the crowd. No one wants to get rowdy and jump around. I think a Kenny G concert might have more action too it.

Best classic rock concert I have been to, with the exception of Alice Cooper, was Billy Joel. He actually managed to keep my interest. He was hilarious. Put on a helluva show too.
