MitchTBF Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I took my kids to Bass Pro Shops again the other day and for the 2nd or 3rd trip in a row, I did not get a single thing for myself. My kids were the only ones that got anything. What the heck is wrong with me? lol I admire your self control. I joke around about how much money I spend on a recreation that should be free once you make the initial investment. Quote
Brian6428 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I am in the same boat with you, OP. I still have $20 on a BPS giftcard but really have no desire to go to bass pro. I don't need anything and am content with what i have (for now at least, I might hear a new baitcaster calling my name for christmas lol). Quote
Super User Ratherbfishing Posted October 9, 2013 Super User Posted October 9, 2013 The trick is to whisper in your kids ear that they've gotta have this or that then borrow it from them when they aren't using it. Quote
Super User Raul Posted October 9, 2013 Super User Posted October 9, 2013 I haven´t purchased any tackle in over a year and a half ....... just don´t ask me how many video games I´ve purchased in the same period of time. Quote
pbizzle Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I haven´t purchased any tackle in over a year and a half ....... just don´t ask me how many video games I´ve purchased in the same period of time. I used to spend a lot of money on video games, but I eventually just realized that nothing "new" is coming out. Once you've played one it seems like you've played them all except the next May have prettier pictures. The last game I bought was skyrim on it's first day. Plus at $60 a game, I could just buy a new reel for the same price as two games. Quote
Snakehead Whisperer Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I've been working there for 3 yrs. now, and I still can't walk out empty handed. I guess I'm just trading my work for fishing gear. There ain't nuthin wrong with that....lol. Hootie Sounds like a lot of the guys who work at the store in Hannover, MD. Just working there to supplement the fishing addiction That's a good thing because they always give sound advice on baits/equipment. Quote

They are all the same at this point. You can only put a new title on COD so many times... Now its just used for netflix:) Buy the six new games that come out next month... or that set up I have been eyeing for a while.. That answer is easy. 1 Quote
JT Bagwell Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 You are a wonderful father. I hope they each got one of those Artic Cats that are on display!!!! Sam I actually did buy my 7 year old one of the big Artic Cat Prowler power wheels things (not a BPS). He loved that thing, it was pretty fast. Now he has a couple of gas powered 4 wheelers so he passed the Artic Cat to his little brother. Quote
