Im about to drive almost 2 hours to cabelas. They have the 13 omens in stock. For finesse spinning, they have a 7'3" in medium. Is this what i want? Is 7'3 too long for finesse? I was lookin for 7'1", maybe shorter. Also, in baitcasting, to be mated to lews tp in 7.1:1 for frog, jig, burning bladed baits, weighted plastics, they have 7'3" medium heavy. Again, was looking for 7'1". Is tbis what i want? Is 7'3 too long?

They should be fine. You might want ML for finesse, but it kinda depends on what you do for "finesse".

weightless worms, light weight worms (1/8 ounce and below), small rooster tails, topwater poppers that are too small to cast with a baitcaster.

To me, a lot of the reason I would choose a shorter rod is for casting accuracy. A longer rod for more hook setting ability. My shorter rods I use primarily for squarebills, senkos, jigs/trigs and spinnerbaits in tight quarters. My longer rods are more for dragging jigs or plastics (c or trigs). I think it depends on what you want to use the rod for, specifically.

As far as a big difference between 7'1 and 7'3, I doubt I'd be able to tell THAT much of a difference with 2 inches there or not. Some people might, I don't really. I can definitely tell a difference between, say, a 6'9 and a 7'2.

ML rod if you're going below 1/8oz

Longer rod the better for frogs, jigs, etc... That MH might be a little light to throw frogs on, but should work great with everything else listed.

Hope you got what you wanted.
