What are some things you think about while fishing?

My question every cast is what's the biggest fish that saw my lure why didn't she bite! I always think about that and when I catch a big one I wonder if she was part of a group of even bigger ones, I know they tend to stay around fish in their size range.

How did Kate Upton get into that swiming suit?

That until I seen her in the Marilyn Monroe get up. That my friend is worth paying child support for!

Unfortunately I'm thinking about work. What I can do next in training, what else can I prepare my rook for etc......:the trees blowing, ooooo look shiney object I like peanut butter lol

I think about anything and everything. But I've become pretty good at blocking things out most of the time, so I'm only focused on nature and what I'm doing at that moment.

Just one more cast... Just one more, then I'll leave... an hour goes by... if I catch one on this cast... Oh what the heck...while I'm here....what's it gonna hurt?

I always TRY to concentrate on what my lure is transmitting back to me. What almost always happens is I'll hook and land a fish only to forget what I was doing when I hooked it.  Loss of short term memory is a b+#ch............What were we discussing??? :dazed-7:

This is what I thinking when it gets to that time where I told my wife I would be home.

I don't think when I'm fishing. My mind is automatically programmed on what I have to do. I stay motivated and focused to throw my ritual of lures. I've done this so many times now I just do it. I get into my own zone and fish. I'm zoned out and focusing so hard at times I don't hear anything around me. I don't even hear people talking to me.

It's me and the fish. I mainly focus on my presentations making them perfect. I just don't have time to think about anything else. I try to increase my catch on every trip. I don't beat myself up if I don't catch more bass on every outing but I do try to figure out what I did wrong to improve myself for the next trip. It's the challenge that keeps me going back.

was that a bite? nope just some weeds. THAT WAS A BITE (followed by extreme hook set pulling bait out of the water and flying at my face at mach speed.) nope that wasnt a bite...

What my bait looks like / what it's doing down there. When throwing topwater I just visualize a fish absolutely crushing it.

It depends on how much rest i have gotten prior to going out. I have days  when i am well rested and relaxed and focused and days when i am fatigued and battle endless wandering mind chatter. Its amazing what a five minute nap can do for your mood and mind set.

If fishing for fun, try not to think, shut the mind off.

If a tourney, next cast, should I switch baits, should I change presentation, wonder how my competition is doing, why is my boater doing that.....

For the most part it is all related to fishing - thinking about the details of how I am working the bait, where should I cast next, thinking about what I am feeling with my bait, thinking about boat position, etc.

All I do is fish top water I have these thoughts every cast nothing like a top water strike IMO
