Man we went out today to a new spot... no bass!! Went to another spot and a decaying decapitated gator was in the only path to get in, so went to another spot a found but it was gated off, now in miami got in a spot I found off tye turnpike, get in and discover not a single minnow!! So went to a quary lake now to late after 10am where I used to go riding some trails and managed to get 3 fish totaling 2 lbs lol. Very very bad day!!!

FSTR, Miami fishing has been slow. At least for me, for a while. You guys in Broward have been getting into them pretty good this week.

Went out in the AM and finally found some fish worth posting.  Biggest  were 20", 18.5" and 16".  Hopefully I can get out this week and find some bigger ones.

well i got out to tenoroc fish mgt area this morning from 6  to noon and got 6 fish, i caught all of them on a zoom white fluke, this was my first time taking pictures and i did poorly, so if any of these pics are not good enough i will be ok with that, i will let lou decide, i did get 2 really good ones a 20 inch and a fat 22 inch, the other were 16, 15, 14 and 12.

i will post the pics as soon as i learn how to do it.

1st fish is 22 inch, 2nd fish is 20 inch

3rd fish was 16 inch

4th was 14 inch

5th was about 15 or 16 but it hard to see it in this pic

lou let me know if any of these pics are ok

Great catches, all of you. I have a problem with this post however, first fish and last look to be the same fish, especially the shiny spot behind the gills. I would recommend full pics in the future...

Tight lines everyone!

Idk about the whole same fish thing I think his post is legit. Next time get the full fish in the pics

But full pics is how we always did it. He is new so no biggie I don't think he would cheat in a friendly competition

I agree with you it does look the same, i had so many pics and hard time keeping track,

Lou, i think i want to withdraw the last fish because i screwed up my pics etc, i think that it would not be fair to keep that in there, i do have more pics but they are a lot worse then these,  thanks for calling me on this,

Heres the pics of yesterdays catches. I measured then had Martin shoot a pic to give you the image. Not too bad like I said before. Had company last night so I couldnt download then, but I wasnt too far off from what I thought I had. Ended up with 85.5". 2-17", 2-17.5", and one 16.5. Its had to tell on some of them the sizes when the tails are curled and jaws are lifted for the pics.

Hey man it's no big deal. You can keep your 1 or 2 fish whatever it was. If that one was the same by accident then you can keep the other it's no big deal we aren't The Bassmasters over here lol.

This is your first month have fun. Just next time get the full pic of the fish length, doesn't matter if we can't see the #s on the tape measure, we take everyone on their word some pics come out better than others

Dude don't sweat it. Shoot half of AK ;) or my fish you can't read the numbers on the pics. This comp means nothing man. It is just a means to share a few catches and talk technique, whats biting on what at what time where etc. You did good, I been out three times for a total of 3 hours and got zero to show. Just cuz a few of the NE guys are a little up tight about the rules and regs  :eyebrows:  don't get it all twisted because none of the folks in our comp are worried about it. We live in FL everyday is a vacation!...nice fish by the way.

Even in the morning like day break/low light?....

Wait......are we talking about fishing? lol.  Here was the scenario: We got to the channel about day break. Started throwing the frogs (hollow) into the weeds and stuff. I didn't really notice any movement from the fish from that, so I decided to start throwing a buzzbait. I got a little action from fish, but noticed that they were just a little too slow, and they were more or less swatting it. While moving along I noticed the fish schooled up pretty good, but were very finicky. Once we reached the first off shoot canal, I reached for the spook rig. I got the fishes attention with that, and they were tracking it pretty hard, but very hesitant to attack. Once I figured out the cadence that made them just beat it up, it was all over from there.

Finally on the board this month.  And Lou,  you might need to bring out the scientific calculator to add all these up (1 @ 11, 2 @ 12.5, 1 @ 13, 1 @ 13.5 ).  Caught all these on a weightless green pumpkin trick worm at the edge of a bunch of reeds.

Rovingmutt, don't sweat the pics. You provided pics with measurements, and that's all we ask for. Could there be a mix up with all the fishing action you had? Yes! Of course. In the near future when you get into them again, just take a full length pic and do the best you can on the focus. We are all good, and your numbers stay the same.

Mouldie nice fish. Must me a long fish, because that sure is a slim 9.5lbr. The angle I guess does not give that fish justice. Our first fish for the big fish category.
