Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 6, 2013 Super User Posted October 6, 2013 AK, you are 100% right that will take 100" + to win, and you posting your catches will help many of us to who are competing to know the "true" standings. You may have a logical explanation for not posting your catches, but what is the point of me doing top 5 or 10 if my numbers are not true, because someone decided to post at the very end. I know the rules never said that your catches had to be posted weekly, but when your talking 20 people, I think they will like to know where the rest of the field is. Just me knowing, that your close to 100" has already skewed my numbers. The number 1 person is not the real number 1. All joking aside, do you see where I am going with this. Lou there is always an element of surprise this is a "friendly comp" remember that. I'm sure a bunch of people have caught 5 fish but may not be comfortable submitting them because they plan on getting bigger, that's how I am atleast Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 6, 2013 Super User Posted October 6, 2013 my 1 an only 19" bass d**n WHO TOOK THOSE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TYPE PICS Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted October 6, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 6, 2013 Bass Czar, its nice to see you back on the board. It has been while. Quote
fishingator Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 This is my first time competing so I've posted all of my fish even though they have been smalls. For me I wouldn't feel like I was participating if I didn't so idk. It's less frustrating for me. I'm going to continue to try to do better but with limited time this is what I've got Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted October 6, 2013 Super User Posted October 6, 2013 Well, Martin and I went out this morning for a run on the boat. New motor did well for us. I caught a bunch today, Martin didn't do too bad, he just had a tough time keeping them on the hook. Overall a nice morning out. I had one blow up, but missed the lure. I would guess it was close to 5-6#s. I caught my 5 biggest this morning on the spook. They were very slow to bite, and did more tracking than anything else. I think my numbers are around 82", will post pictures later on. They were bighting pretty good. Showed Martin what tournament fishing was like using 8 rigs, lol. Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 6, 2013 Super User Posted October 6, 2013 Waiting on the 5th fish to post to get on the board. After that start knocking them off. I'm sure people catch more than 5 fish an outing should we post them all? We have 3 weeks left 20 people this is going to be our best month so far and the fish activity is high Quote

I was only one throwing top water and got 3 but for most part it was slow, for frog anyway. Then went to a different spot and the top water bite was on from like 10 to 11:30. I need to fish other top water baits than frogs in the AM. What type/brand spooks do you use? Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 6, 2013 Super User Posted October 6, 2013 And ask Martin where is this video? Lol Quote

Super User MCS Posted October 6, 2013 Super User Posted October 6, 2013 Oh BTW, I don't know if anyone was following but are field of participants has been locked at 20. No one stepped up for a last second entry. This month what I will post differently, will be the top anglers. Instead of the top 5, as per some of your request, I will post top 10. Also remember we recognize big fish for the month, so pls remember your scales. We do not play " what's your guess of this fish's weight" game. You forgot your scale and you caught a big fish, we will "ooh and ahh" your catch but the recognition goes to the one who actually weighed their fish. I will report tonight after everyone has posted there catches for the weekend. Good Luck to everyone, including you the "obvious ninja". Looking forward to the top 10 gives me something to work towards knowing a goal. If AK don't wanna play then that is fine. I don't really count him anymore anyway LOL I play for second. 1 Quote

fishingator Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Hey everyone! We went out a few times this weekend. We took the kids along too. We've had better recently. I have four to add. I still am really terrible at taking these pics. All of mine were caught on wacky rigged worms. Watermelon red/green caught the last one. I also used rootbeer and smokey shad. I added some other pics for fun too as I had some nice scenery. My 13.5", 12" and 14" 1 Quote
fishingator Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 and the others lol...hope everyone had a great weekend! 2 Quote
