Super User BassinLou Posted October 30, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 30, 2013 Heck, I am still trying. I have an hour tomorrow to try to solidify a top 10. Chances are slim, but I can't quit. Goodluck everyone. This has been an exciting month. Quote
fishingator Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I will throw my name in for next month. I need to get the SO in here too so his fish aren't for not lol. The next few months are busy for us because of the wedding but that won't stop us from fishing lol. I'm going to be stuck to weekends with the time change for sure though. Quote

Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 31, 2013 Super User Posted October 31, 2013 Lou I find it funny that you ask people if they are in for next month and then tell them to post Friday lol 1 Quote
dsidle61 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 AK i saw you posting about boats, a cheaper alternative and what i have my eye on in the future is a pond prowler. Buddy of mine had one that he towed around w a minivan lol fit 2 people very comfortably also. You could drag it by hand around places as well. He just slapped a trolling motor on the front. Quote

Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 31, 2013 Super User Posted October 31, 2013 Read an article about Fall Froggin on the site and saw they said to trim one leg shorter than the other to improve the frogs "walking" ability I was telling DS about it. Has anyone tried this and does it work? I know trimming both legs works to make the frog a little smaller Quote
dsidle61 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 how much are they? new ones around 600 but used you can find alot cheaper. it would be perfect for guys like us wanting to get around in ponds and small lakes, cant go taking it out on the st. johns river or anything. Thing only weighs 100 pounds also. My friend who had one has a jon boat now and told me i can take his prowler if i can get it, problem is he still lives up in Pennsylvania lol Quote

LOL glad to see you are implementing new rules. No feeler vote like you usually do? I like LGM's idea of specifics to the catch that will really help a lot of people know what's working and in turn open people up to new lures/techniques. Mine will be boring though since everything comes on the same frog just different color BORING Quote

My buddy has a kayak and he says that he uses a whistle and that scares off gators lol a whistle more like a gun Quote

That's funny that's EXACTLY what my buddy said. The gators bother you more so when you are on land oppose to in a floating object which makes sense because they don't know what it is they just see the size and a majority of floating objects are bigger than gators 1 Quote
