Well its been pretty slow for me,i havent caught much at all lately.

Heres 3 fish(from the last week or so) that should put me at 5 for the month,so at least i can cull,lol

A 12",13,&15".

EDIT: I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET RID OF THE INFAMOUS UPSIDE DOWN BASS.

Lou, I warned you about me and LMG when we fished together, didn't I? Believe me, I'm dialing it waaaaaaay back! Perhaps one day I'll record what goes on when LMG and I are fishing together, if you think I need to dial it back here, well, you should see us on the water

 

But in all seriousness, this is nothing more than a good fun with good friends here! I know I push the envelope sometimes, but I hope you all realize this is 100% humor from my end, and I love you all guys! After all I portray myself as the world's most evil man and laugh at myself more than at anything or anyone else This is a great forum and I've already made few friends here (shout out to LMG, fstr385, and you Lou!, wish more of you were more local!)

 

And as far as the competition lasting for a year or more... why not?!?! It's not like we're going to stop reading this forum, nor stop fishing right? I know some months will be slower than others, but why not keep doing this until we all drop dead or move out of FL For me, this competition is a great motivator to go out even when I don't feel like it and to step up my game! So let's keep rocking on as long as we can!!!

Hoping the slightly cooler weather thats supposed to roll through Thursday brings the bite back by the weekend. Though its been better lately, going back in the 90s has retarded the bite some it seems.

My dad and I caught a bunch on Saturday but nothing worth screaming about. This Saturday hopefully the old jig brings home the bacon, lettuce and tomato. I might pull out the swimbaits and see if I can bring up the titanic.

got this one, we will call him 13", this morning. Think that puts me at 3 for 41.5. It was dead, no activity....Only strike. Throwing a Zoom utlra vibe speed craw on a keel weighted hook. Tried a black worm also with no luck. It was pretty humid, hear tell that cooler weather is around the corner. But I will believe it when I see it. Might try the swimming fluke next time out.

Martin I know both you and LMG are knuckleheads. I am sure if we all hung out we wouldn't be able to fish with all the laughing. LMG and I had few good laughs, this dude cracks me up. I also agree that this forum has been great for me as well. I have made several new friends by just interacting here. It's too bad that several of you do live farther away, but this place brings us together. As far as the competition, if last's forever, great. If it doesn't we will some how figure out a way to stay connected.

Last week I caught five that I forgot to bring my tape measure.  All those fish were caught on the bottom with a Netbait B-bug in Toledo Special color.  All these fish were caught working the bottom SLOW, and they were all located near chunk rock. 

 

This one was caught on a buzzbait, She was sitting next to a clump of grass that was growing out of the water on a shallow hump between two dropoffs.  She hit it as soon as I popped it off the grass clump onto the other side.  Later I caught a nice snook on the same buzzbait.  Buzzbaits not the same now.

 

This weekend hopefully its better for us deep south Florida guys as this cool front finally pushes south towards us!!!!

caught my pb this afternoon (dont laugh people!!!)  this tipped my scale at 5.0 on the button and 21".  went out from about 10am-1230 not expecting much and didnt get anything til this guy right around noon.  got him on a frog surprisingly.  and he absolutely demolished it, came all the way out of the water on the strike.  ive lost track of my fish but i think im at 4 fish for 72"??

Hey Dsidle, nice to hear from you. That fish puts you at 4 fish for 71" WTG, on your PB. Awesome that you caught it on the frog. I am sure the strike was great. A 5lbr can churn the water up.

I found the spot you texted me on google earth. Are there pads and grass there or is it pretty much open?

That 21" is way fatter than mine the other night. There's definitely bigger ones in there. Like I was sayin you need to wake up and get to your spots in the AM whenever you can. Naps are made for us fishermen lol

Remember next time you plan on hitting up the "driving range" let me know I will throw on a golf shirt and show you the ponds where we catch the big ones when we get in, just give me a heads up early in the day that you are planning on going
