Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 1, 2013 Super User Posted October 1, 2013 I'm going out tonight for a hour before it gets dark. As a matter of fact I am going to get my baitcaster clear of the birds best and get it spooled back up I may dedicate this month to getting down the baitcast that will be a nice little challenge for me I can feel I may be doing a lot of ranting on here though Sorry in advance for my future rants and questions to all you BC users Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 1, 2013 Super User Posted October 1, 2013 Hey AK, I'm from Downtown (next to Ivanhoe). UCF has some nice ponds. Next time you're there check out the two ponds right behind Brighthouse Stadium. I can guarantee there are at least 2 +10lb bass in there. He lives over on curry ford road not sure if you are familiar with that but I will definitely check out that spot behind the stadium I need a 10lb bass in my life Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted October 1, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 1, 2013 Well you know how it goes AK your the top dog so you gotta take all the ball busting that goes with it man...... See just goes to show you BC reels don't win tourney's spinners do LOL Take that Lou! When your right, your right MCS. However, I still say AK would not have lost so many fish if he was using a B/C. We shall see Lou I am using this month to practice with the BC. Made my mind and going to get me a Pflueger Patriarch spinning reel, liked my old Pflueger so getting another one. But majority of my fishing will be on the revo BC and if I get a nest I cant get out I will get my spinning combo out the car Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted October 1, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 1, 2013 The day is not over, and we are all ready at 12 participants and we still have previous contestants who have not reported in. PLEASE NOTE: If you declared you were in for this month on last month's thread pls check in again on this present thread so I do not have to be looking for you, and leave you out by mistake. I wanted to welcome some of the new names that we have on here so far. I am excited for this month already. Trash talk has started, people are excited, its going to be fun. Oh! BTW, 1234567, do you prefer that name or is there something else you would like to use? Is using 1-7 ok? Quote

Super User BassinLou Posted October 1, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 1, 2013 Wow!!! We are at 15 already, and I know we are missing some of our heavy hitters from last month. Where is Dsidle? Tighlines? CapitolIP? We are looking to set records people. Where are you guys?? Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted October 1, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 1, 2013 Dsidle LOL, I was looking for you. I got you buddy. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted October 2, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 2, 2013 Did you guys know we are being followed my several people who not from FL. They enjoy what we got going on. Heck, another part of the country as their own competition going, up in the NE, moderated my NEjitterbug. All this, because a small group of guys decided to do something fun and different for a change. WTG guys!! I am proud to be part of this group. 2 Quote
JaxBasser Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Couldn't get this fish to keep his mouth closed. Do I count where his bottom lip goes or the top. Big difference there. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted October 2, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 2, 2013 Nice fish Jaxbasser! Too bad for the snake though. I know people have different views/beliefs of snakes, how about we don't post pics of dead creatures. However, going back to fishing, if it was my fish I would lean toward the 17.5" sometimes fish do not cooperate and they don't keep their mouths closed. I will leave it up to the advisory board lol, to make that call. We are not to nit picky over here. Way to break the ice!!! Quote
JaxBasser Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I'll go with 17.5 then lol. I'll get rid of the snake pic, sorry about that. I missed another fish that was at least that big. Was picking a bird nest out of my line and when I went to reel back in the fish was on the line. Jumped and shook the hook because I never got a good set on him. Quote

I put you down for 17.5, you might find this entertaining. My wife and I were having this discussion on your fish and she said, she would have given you 18" because the tale of your fish was off the tip of the measuring tape. All I can say is do the best you can, with what's going on. Quote
dsidle61 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I just read Lou's comment and thought to myself what snake Same here lol i thought this was some sort of joke about the tape measure or something. Quote

JaxBasser Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I like it! We'd all be competing against each other still but it would also add a team aspect to the whole thing. 2 Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 2, 2013 Super User Posted October 2, 2013 Yea but with that guy from Maine we don't stand a chance!!! His smallest fish was like 21" only a few of us had 21" fish in the history of our FL comp. Hopefully the big girls want to play in October with this cooler weather here in FL 1 Quote
