Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 7, 2013 Super User Posted October 7, 2013 Supposed to be a 14 acre lake I believe...There is no agreement on paper yet between BPS and the County as far as I have heard, nor any plans in. Who knows. They need that exit finished first, and they are blow'n N goin on that but that is still a couple years away......As far as BPS goes, I dislike as I do with most stores, their limited selection. All they are good for is Rods, line and hooks. Reels and plastics are better found elsewhere. Yea I agree I never shop at BPS, there aren't any around, and online I use other places that have more selection. Most of the things I use BPS doesn't carry lol Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 7, 2013 Super User Posted October 7, 2013 I am more excited about the managed lake where you can rent boats. Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted October 7, 2013 Super User Posted October 7, 2013 AK I bet they will gaurd that lake like the gold(if there is any left) at for knox. Dogs and snipers you ain't getting on that BPS lake unless you pay the piper $$$$$$$$$$ lol lol I was thinking the same thing they wont have those rent a cop security that the Law School has lol I was thinking when they get the OK to start digging and filling the pond that's when I will sneak in lol. They are going to probably do that first to let the ecosystem grow and when they do I will be there whenever I can to introduce them to some frogs and worms. I can't imagine them guarding the lake while everything is being worked on. But hey BPS has the money to do that so who knows Quote

Most of the things I use BPS doesn't carry lol You guys have found that BPS does not carry a lot of things? Each BPS is designed differently I think. For example I have 2 BPS roughly the same distance from me. The one in Doral, is a smaller BPS. Their trackerboat dealership seems larger than Dania's but the store itself is smaller, and selection is poor. The BPS in Dania, I feel has a lot more tackle selection however. I have a Dick's sporting goods in Pembroke Pines and they are ok at best. For me, BPS suits me just fine. Quote

(Free shipping when you spend over $50!). They're usually at least $1-2 cheaper than BPS. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted October 7, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 7, 2013 I guess some online retailers do have more variety, but I am also fortunate enough that if I need something fast and important for a fishing trip, BPS is close enough to pick up rather than wait two days to a week. Different strokes for different folks I guess. Quote

Academy does that as well they have two stores on opposite ends of town and they carry different products for the most part the prices stay the same betwee stores. Only other spots besides local tackle shops would be Dicks. Depending on the location the selection is better IMO. As far as selection and variety none of them come close to BPS. But like I said they carry my brands and BPS doesn't Quote

Super User LgMouthGambler Posted October 7, 2013 Super User Posted October 7, 2013 Man I am jealous hearing about your guys spots, I have to avoid couches, shopping carts, bicycles, all kinds of junk in my canals. Maybe Lgmouth can relate. I am fishing for real urban bass, Lol, they are really skeptical of lures. Yeah its pretty hood in our canals down here. Hell, the Bass are soo rough and thug, I went out fishing once and a Bass stole my wallet. I carry a gun just because of that one fish. If I remember right he was chillin on a couch drinking a Corona and smoking a Newport. 1 Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted October 7, 2013 Author Super User Posted October 7, 2013 I didn't submit any lengths IDK how I'm up there lol You stated in our conversations yesterday that you were around mid 90's with 4 fish.
