November is going to be very limited because of day light savings time, won't be able to get out in the evenings on weekdays any more. I am going to have to be on MCS schedule and hit the ponds early morning with that extra sunlight we will be getting, I'm a wuss though I don't like the cold being in FL spoiled me don't have that NJ skin anymore lol

Done, me too!  Sieberts shakey head with a netbait t-mac 6.5 in sun perch.  I saw this fish bust on the surface and cast to it.  Before I could engage the reel  I saw the line moving off and set the hook.  Unofficially I had a couple 16 and 17's early in the month but did not document as I thought I'd get on em better with the weather cooling.  Next month should get better for us in the deep south.  This one was just a bit over 18.

glad to see you are implementing new rules. No feeler vote like you usually do?

I like LGM's idea of specifics to the catch that will really help a lot of people know what's working and in turn open people up to new lures/techniques.

Mine will be boring though since everything comes on the same frog just different color BORING

LMAO that's IMPOSSIBLE to do, you can't control when someone catches a fish and decides to post it... I have a feeling you are right on the money though lmao

It's amazing to me how big this simple tournament has become. It has spread to several states in the NE, here in FL of course, and now Caylub is working hard to start in Alabama. I volunteered 3 months ago to spearhead, or become a tournament director of sorts of this competition. The responsibility that I took on was to bring better structure and create an existing platform so that everyday anglers like ourselves could have a stage and proudly show off our catches in a friendly/competitive environment. What many do not know is that on a weekly and sometimes daily basis, I intentionally go and speak with new and existing BR members and build up our competition. Many of the existing participants that we have here today know this first hand because I personally reached out to you. You know who you are.

Yes AK, there is a reason why I have your quotes up there. You and I had a significant disagreement very early in the month of the tact you were going use. You find it amusing to catch nice fish and purposely not report them to the very end. Here is why I disagree with your tact. All of us know the rules, and what our roles are. All of us catch fish and I will report to everyone on a daily and weekly basis everyone's  catches and results so that we have a bearing on how the competition is going. The top 10 have been battling for position for several weeks now. You, being one of them. You posted 20.5" 18.5" 20" 18" 18" all on Oct 11. Now on Oct 31, with hours of the competition being over, you post pics of a 22.5" 21" 20".  The 22.5" you claimed yesterday you caught 2 weeks ago!!  You have known all along what the standings have been, and today for the sake of fun you post these catches that place you at 104". Don't you think all of us would have liked to have known that?? What was the purpose of taking down everyone's data, so that a veteran player who knows better, comes in and screws it up in the sake of "fun". I call it unsportsmanlike, and dishonest.

So I ask the top 9 who have been playing intently these last 4 weeks, is this fair? Withholding information and having us all believe one thing and so that AK has a "gotcha" moment?  My rule change is a simple one. Next month if you choose to play, you have 5 days to submit your pics. To avoid any "misunderstandings"

As promised I will post the final numbers tomorrow.

LMAO

I just posted my 5 and worked on trying to culling the rest. As you might be able to tell I am pretty active on this site but I use my iphone. When I upload pics I connect my phone to my laptop put pics in my file and then go to tinypic to change the size and then post... Just figured out that I can simply load my pics to my gallery and click that my media box and it will automatically insert the pics, I think haven't tried it.  May do that for now on.

Next month I will post one time at the end so it doesn't affect anything

Sorry to knock whoever out of the top 10 and screw up the list Lou, my apologies

Well said Lou. I agree, the ninja prank wasnt so funny. If it was a month that there was something riding on it, I would call DQ. Don't get too full of yourself AK pride go before the fall. There are folks on here that can humble all of us.

It's all good dude but look at it like this, Lou is trying to get people on board and return, give aways etc. so keeping it a high standard is his goal and for us vets of the comp should be our goal too. I mean we still have fun, way more fun than the NE guys I don't even thing they say hi to eachother LOL, but still keep the integrity of the competition intact. You know what I mean.

And you know Lou probably spent as much time keeping track, helping the other comps out etc. as he did on the water this month. Hats off to him. :respect-051:

Yea us north guys have to deal with frost this time of year... I thought I left that back in NJ moved to the wrong part of FL.

But I can tell the fishing is picking up down south I follow a few people on YouTube from South FL and they are producing some amazing fish down there. Next few months us north guys will just be commenting and liking posts oppose to posting pictures.

With the new system that LGM wants to implement that will only improve things so everyone can have an idea of what is working and presentation. I will be sitting back jotting down baits making my Christmas list getting ready for the spawn.

You can and will catch big fish even in the colder months here. It just takes a bit more work. Really December and January are the only months I'd call slow here. November and Feb. are on fire usually.

Daylight savings time is gonna kill me more than the weather. No more after work fishing for me really.

I like the sound of that!  Same here with watching the vids, although alot of times youre just watching them winch in fish which is cool, but if more were explained on why they were fishing a certain spot, weather conditions, baits, etc....it would really help to get a better idea of what's going on.

One excellent video is Mikeybalzzfishing called "Matted".  Mike goes super in depth of the spots he is fishing on Kissimmee and what he's doing when picking apart matts, ie. spot within a spot, depth baits, technique.  Most vids aren't even close to this informative but this one has it all.  Another one where he talks about what he's doing but not nearly as in depth as the last one is called, "Punching Extravaganza", where he explains he believes fish in Okeechobee are moving up to spawning staging areas and he's looking for big mama.  He also explains how's he working the bait, how the fish are biting it.  There needs to be more vids like these.

Last year I shut it down in the winter so this will be my first time. Daylight savings time is your friend but my enemy now that I have to be an early bird like you, will be dark by like 6:30p now so my afternoon fishing will be night now

couldn't agree with you more!  I wish the video were more informative I am going to check out Mike's channel. That's what I usually go on youtube for to find informational videos not just people pulling in a fish and letting it go.

Its funny some videos I have watch of 10lb plus fish being caught people have the camera running and always "claim" they release it but there is no footage of that just the catch lol smh

I do like 90% of my fishing in the afternoons after work from around 4-8. The time change always sucks for me.

Since I took this season off from my flag football league I have my Saturdays cleared up so we need to get out and fish more. Dave needs to get us on some hogs.
