Them Kayaks are rediculously priced. I got my boat and trailer for $500.

There you go! Case in point. I have fished out of LMG's  boat, and his set up, works great. Just saving $25 a month for 2 years will get you $600. Is it worth it?

I got all yall beat(finally - something I can win) I got 4 kids LOL so there is no hope for a boat until they are outta the house. Drain on the wallet....that is why Rage and GYB is off my shopping lists LOL I do have to have rattlesnakes though and I have been patient for a couple months now, Nov 15 I am getting some.

Your right LMG the kayaks go for probably the same $$ or more but I was saying that more for launching they are lighter and easiey, no ramps around these ponds, easy in and easy out. you know what I mean.

MCS, you got us all beat in the kids dept. My hat's off to you my friend.

Alright, here is another thing I want to do for next month. This will not affect the number systems at all, and I will do this so Lou doesn't have to. For every catch I would like to record what lure and color you were using, and maybe how you were fishing it (weight size, line, and the way you presented it) if possible. I would like to take a survey for myself and for you guys that are maybe new to fishing a little, and maybe it will help to see some patterns. I follow the Farmers Almanac, and its also built into my watch. It will also help to see what baits were the most productive for the month, and maybe help others to try out a bait they may have otherwise not usually go for. If you would be interested, let me know. I would also take that info into what bait caught your biggest fish for that month.

If i could join in on this i would.... i keep a log of everything and would be cool to see your guys experience..

I was keeping a log in excel, but once life got busy and fishing slow about july I slacked and could never get it back on track. Hopfully this helps me get back into keeping up with my log. I like the "stats" of it, kinda like baseball and football box scores you know what I mean. LOL

Trust me, I have 2 kids of my own and I get it. I did not say purchase a boat tomorrow, next week, or next month. What I meant to say, is allocating a little $ and  over time of 1 yr or 2, you might have enough stashed away to get an old aluminum boat and a used electric motor. It was just a thought.

Yea when he's a little older I will definitely invest in a boat so we can all go out fishing, my girl likes to fish so it will be easy to convince her.  She is excited for the BPS because we use to rent john boats at this reservoir in NJ and fish.

will have to invest in a truck or SUV too because I'd imagine it'd be hard to tug and load a boat into the water with a dodge charger lol maybe it could be done

Yea I have seen some great deals on Craig's List for john boats and kayaks are basically the same price, I'd rather get the boat for a little more money and have more room.

Actually your dodger would be fine. When I first bought my boat moos ago, I was pulling it with a VW Passat. LOL. I guess where there is a will there's a way.

What you mean they treated the water? You ain't trying to keep me off your spot LOL....I haven't fished there since the summer and I got skunked two times and had one fish the other. But what did they do? There was a big gator in there last time I was there in July.

No I'm not trying to keep you off my spot you know me man I share my spots to all who ask, sometimes to a fault... CZAR!

Nah but they treated the water all the pads are dying, and I heard that means the bass don't hangout by them because of lack of oxygen any truth to that?  All of the vegetation that use to be in the front pond and back is gone and the water in the first pond has a aqua blue tint so I was chalking that up to them treating the lake.

I have been skunked the last few times I went there. 2 weeks ago I pulled out a 22.5" (before the treatment) and I have been back few times since then and I was skunked every time not even a bite. I usually see them jumping or chasing baitfish and NOTHING.

I have seen that gator a few times not in the last few months though. FIrst time I saw it was night and I could see his glowing eyes, with my head lamp, and I just remember the space between them!  Then I saw him in the light and was like d**n! There is this spot on Old Saint that has one that will give that one a run for his money

I might see you at Academy on the 15th... I should have some birthday money I'm allowed to spend lol

Funny MCS me and Dave were talking about borrowing his buddy's boat and carrying it down to gate... Going down the hill wouldn't be a problem but up it might be lol

Well I fish a spot with a few pads, it is getting cold and they die in the winter. The weeds will die too, if surface temps start getting cooler like I know algea and stuff needs to be greater than 75 or 80 is prefered for it to bloom.

They might just be deep? or if it is shallow, cold and shut down. I found that spot after spawn, by that guy at the office here, so I am waiting to see spawn if we can see beds from shore there or not.

I just read the Fall Frog article its funny I never see pros using frogs on TV, Bassmasters or Major League Fishing. I have seen Bill Dance use them once before on one of his fishing shows I happened to catch on TV, I don't really watch his show much.  MLF I use to have that recorded on my DVR religiously I like a lot of those anglers that compete on there

Yea but lately I have been frustrated. I'd take a day like you guys have ANY day pulling in 40-80 fish even if they aren't big.  Being a bank guy most I will get is like 10 and that's throughout the whole day and NUMEROUS different spots.  But lately I haven't been getting much I will get one big one and that's it. Its frustrating going out for 4-6 hours, especially now that its getting colder, and only getting 1 or 2 fish but then again I throw the same thing no matter the conditions so its my fault lol. I just got another rod for my reel so I will have my frog on one (braid on that), worm on other (mono on that), and swim bait or crank on the other (fluro on that).

I think I need to find another lure to obsess over, soon I will have to throw on a jig when the water gets colder.

I saw a dude pulling a trailer loaded with lawn equipment with an Impala the other day. I chuckled a little bit but hey he was getting the job done and the car was sweet! Like royal blue with rims on it.

Not a thing today. We can't get this figured out :(. I'm out for October.

Keep your head up. You did well, for it being your first go around. I am sure you learned more than you did last month. You even picked up frogging this month. That's a new technique you never tried. Please say you are in for next month. It was a blast having you and the SO around. Who knows maybe next month is your month!! :Idontknow:
