Had a good day today. Went out with the intentions of finding some Bass, but then decided to go for some Snakeheads instead. Havent fished for them in a while, and wanted some fight. Did a little rearranging last night with some of my rods and reels in anticipation of the Tatula Type-R. I actually put the Super Duty on the Dobyns Savvy 705 for pitching baits, and took the CuradoE7 off the 705, and I put it on the 704 for frogging. I actually like the 704 better for my frogging. The softer action helps to launch those Pad Crusher Jrs even further than before with less effort. Also, I am able to feel the fish easier on the end of the line to know that the fish has it, and then to set the hook. My hookups were easier and more solid. The ChronarchE7 is now on my Compre MH/XF for Jigs, and the Curado50E is now on the Carbonlite MH/F for soft plastics. I will end up getting a new rod for the Tatula when it gets here. Still undetermined of which one it will be though. Anyway, back to the day at hand. Went out with Papa(wifes Grandfather), and we launched at Rock Island and Southgate ramp on the C-14. Went swimming around in the Margate canals. We got them pretty good, about 50 fish. A 50/50 split of Bass and Snakeheads. Floated from around 0700-1400. I kept throwing my Pad Crusher Jr because the fish were non-stop on it, and Papa was killing them on the Brush Hog. We were going slow and covering just about every inch of water that we could, and it paid off bigtime. Here are some pics.

Nice work LMG. I would be with papa using a brush hog. Like the frogs but feel like I can get and land better fish on the plastics at this point.

Good luck everyone, down the homestretch for the month!  I have two days left to put something together and it's not looking good!  I knew I took the summer off from fishing for a good reason!!

Fishing has been tough for some, and pretty good for others. I am on the tough side. Although, this past week I have caught personally over 50 bass, that number does not mean much when from those 50, 0 would help in this contest lol. It sure was fun though. At the end of the day, that's what its all about. Fun.

Diggy I see you on-line with us. How did your crossfishing trip go?? Did you have a good workout? LOL

It was good, caught a bunch but didn't have to break necks tho...treated them like women, soft touch

Alright, here is another thing I want to do for next month. This will not affect the number systems at all, and I will do this so Lou doesn't have to. For every catch I would like to record what lure and color you were using, and maybe how you were fishing it (weight size, line, and the way you presented it) if possible. I would like to take a survey for myself and for you guys that are maybe new to fishing a little, and maybe it will help to see some patterns. I follow the Farmers Almanac, and its also built into my watch. It will also help to see what baits were the most productive for the month, and maybe help others to try out a bait they may have otherwise not usually go for. If you would be interested, let me know. I would also take that info into what bait caught your biggest fish for that month.

This would be nice/helpful. Although I think my new strategy after this weekend is to leave my SO at home hahahaha :)

You leave your SO at home, and I will leave my SO (Martin) at home as well. We can go fishing together! :respect-059:

Oh don't drag me into the bromance drama! Things will get ugly quick and I haven't been in a cat fight in a while!
