Wow MCS,that was a huge bluegill.

When i lived in south carolina(Lake Keowee),i chummed my dock daily for bluegill/bream.

Regularly caught them between 10-13",catch a mess of decent size panfish and youre eating like a king.

On a side note, check out this pic of the world record bluegill.

Oh yeah ive got 2 bass so far a 16" and a 14",pics to come.

EDIT for you northern folk a "mess of fish" means A LOT of fish.lol

Zack, we haven't. I actually live in St. Lucie county and work in Palm Beach county. We only go up to Volusia to help my parents and we are getting married there in Feb. I will keep it in mind though if we get more time. Thanks!

Well, I'm late for work this morning but poles and gear are in the car. The plan is to fish after work although I forgot my fishing shoes so I will be going hardcore in scrubs and flip flops!

Bluebird skies and no wind at all. Today is gonna be a tough day.

Anybody from the Jax area know any good spots in Maclenny or Baldwin? I just started my new job out here and I've been on the lookout for spots.

I have some of my best days fishing top water with bluebird skies and no wind.  I want to get out tonight but I don't think I can do any fishing until Saturday morning.

My online order should be here tomorrow looking forward to trying out some new things this weekend. Have some new top water lures and soft plastics to try.

Have you heard anything about the BPS pond?  I got a message from someone on this site who saw my post and claimed to work for the FWC. He said that they stocked a pond close to the site that they will transfer the fish from there to the BPS one.  Not sure how accurate this is but he told me where it is only problem is getting to it, looks impossible until they start doing work.  Dave said his buddy mentioned something to him after I told him about it but IDK, this could all be fake since you said they were having problems getting the permits or something like that.

If u wanna do your homework AK permits and plans are all public record. If they are approved you can view the plans and track the progress. The one thing I am clueless on is location. It is most definitely in St. John's county.

That said look at the county line map as it cuts across racetrack. Now u been on 9b yet...couple ponds there that were constructed few years back. Also a pond on the substation off Phillips that is gated. Google earth it. That large property down Phillips has ponds past 9b and it also has a fwc office there, right as u turn left off racetrack onto Phillips

Me too AK! I am watching the clock lol. I am going to throw some new stuff tonight and just see. This afternoon is dragging :/.

Yea I am going to do some research but the guy told me which pond it was its just impossible to get to it easily. I have to figured out a more indirect root to get there using google earth/maps or something

Its going to be a fishing shock for me going back to soft plastics instead of my frogs but the colder weather may cause me to change my approach but that's the key to fishing being able to adapt

I doubt that even if this location is found that anyone of us can just walk up to it and fish it. It's probably out in the middle of no where for a reason.

I doubt it, he probably did an order with Seibert outdoors. They have both been communicating a lot lately. It looks like Seibert has good stuff. Martin don't you have jigs from there.

I have no plans to fish it, it is all private land either Jea, fdot or private party and that is a no go for me. I am more curious on the location and size of the development. I design these for a living trying to imagine the location, site access then earthwork is fun....for me. ;)

He said there are some big ones in there he just heard this he wasn't part of the stocking team. I'd imagine they put them there to fatten them up and get them acclimated to the area IDK.

I won't have time to fish tonight so I may just drive out that way and try to figure out if there is a way back to it before it gets dark.  I wanted to try to get out there this weekend I will PM you if I have any success.

Yes thanks to you!

You ruined it though I planned on taking a picture when it arrives and publically thanking you for your generosity my friend.
