Caught my first monster on this bait today rigged on a 1/2 oz ShakE2.

Although the green fish seem to like the tube, me thinks the little brown

fish will like it even more!

I can't get the wind to die down enough around here to even try and throw a tube.

Which color tube did you use?

The weight on the head, tentacles up. Bobby designed the bait with a shallow slot to line up the hook.

It works PERFECTLY!

I'm guessing there is room for the hook to come through the plastic properly because it looks like there is no room for the fish to get hooked?

The tube is very soft and hollow. It compresses extremely flat with the hook shaft when you get a bite. You don't even have to texpose the hook point as the tube has a recess it sits in and is basically weedless.

I'd go for that if it had a Megastrike tube hanging from its beak.

I see "monster," I want a picture.

So.....no pics?

No, but I have an idea...

Next spring maybe you and I can be partners for at least a day.  I'll do all the fishing

and try to snag some goodens, bigguns or good ole bigguns. If  we have any luck you

will be in charge of the camera and the net.  You can hold the fish and weigh it, too!

You bring the beer from PA and I will continuously test it to make sure it doesn't spoil so

none will go to waste.

Don't thank me now.

Look, I know you can catch fish. I've seen your leatherbound book, so I know there is at least a chance of you taking a picture and not melting.

IIRC, we shared a boat on a pretty tough day on Guntersville. That didnt turn out too well for either of us. Missing trolling motor prop ring a bell?

Yes sir, it does.

The fall/ winter smallmouth season is about to get underway around here.

I hope to post some quality pictures soon. The biggest issue for me taking

pictures on the ponds is that I am usually there alone. I have taken a couple

with the fish on the grass, but that just doesn't do the fish justice. However,

you have successfully busted my chops. The next decent fish will be posted.

p.s. Have you ever caught a fish on that bluegill I sent you?
