I've looked around and can't find a 2X treble with a wide gap and maybe short shank. I buy floating jerkbaits, put a size bigger hooks on and stronger hooks and I've ran out. If anyone has suggestions please let me know!

The Mustad KVD's are all that I use. Every major retailer has them in stock.

Gamakatsu makes one too.  As far as I know, these are the only 2 short shank, wide gap, 2X trebles on the market.  Owner makes some nice 2X trebles in a regular round bend.

VMC makes the 2x short shank out barbs but they are like a unicorn in the States. They may have cut production on them, but I had a few. I lost my last lipless yesterday with them on it.

I totally forgot about VMC, they make a pretty wide range of trebles.

I would go with the Owners for a 2x treble. May not be exactly what you're looking for, but they are top quality if you don't mind the price.

I agree that Owner makes fantastic trebles but as was already mentioned they aren't EWG. I recently picked up a pack of Gamakatsu EWG short shank magic eye 2X trebles and they are very very nice. I would highly recommend at least taking a look at these before making your final choice. Mustad's KVD trebles are good as well, I just think the Gamakatsu's might be a slightly better hook.

I like both the KVD & Gamakatsu hooks, both are sharp with Gama slightly sharper until you catch a few fish. The KVD stays sharp longer than any other hook that I've used while the Gama hooks you need to touch up or replace more often in my opinion.
