Oakleys???

  I saw a nice pair of Oakleys that I like and the fit very well. I was wondering are they good enough lenses to go fishing or should I go out there and buy some thing else worth a little better??? Or which type of Oakley lenses should I get?  I like the Oil Rigs a lot and they fit my face very well

Oakley makes great sunglasses but you definitely want to make sure they are polarized for fishing.  That price seems a little cheap for polarized Oakleys but it does say it in the description.  Just make sure "Polarized" is printed on the bottom of one of lenses before you buy them.

 So if it does say they are just pic them up or does lens color matter?

Different lens colors work better in different lighting situations.  I'm not an expert on sunglasses so I'm not sure what colors are best for what scenario.  I just buy the grey polarized lenses because I wear my glasses for more than just fishing.

 That's what i plan to do with mine. Use them for more than just fishing

I been buying the strike king polarized glasses from Wal-Mart when there on clearance.

I also go for the aviator $10 polarized glasses on eBay that have free shipping too. The darker tinted glasses in the shaded areas gave me problems in seeing clearly. So I just went with the Amber tinted ones. I use the Amber color at night on my motorcycle in the past this color brightens up the darkness. So I'm thinking we need more than one color. I have more polarized glasses to try in all shades but I haven't done it yet. I even have orange polarized glasses too to tryout. It's a matter what color works the best for different lighting conditions.

COSTA sunglasses. they are specifically designed for fishing and being on the water. if you go on their website they have a lens selector so you can find out which exact type of lens shade/color suits your need. i will not wear any other sunglasses after wearing these

Im going to say those at Academy might not be polarized price/model. The model # on those are 03-460 checked the oakley site and same 03-460 model s are regular lens here-http://www.oakley.com/products/5535/21919

i am a huge Oakley guy, i own well over 10 pairs.  if you are going with oakley, I highly recommend either Tungsten or Gold Polarized lenses to fish with.  That being said, I recently was turned on to Costas and man are they the bomb to fish with.  i love their green lens, it is a lot like Gold Polarized Iridium from Oakley, but really cuts through the water better.  also, for all the grime and water spray from fishing, the glass lenses are easier to keep scratch free.  But, the downfall is they are heavier them my Oakleys.  I wish Oakley made a better lense for bass  fishing.  I think Shallow Blue and Deep Blue are good, haven't owned a pair but tried a few on.  But, the Costas are just so much better in my mind to see out of, i like them better for driving too.  just clearer and more definition.
