Super User Oregon Native Posted September 27, 2013 Super User Posted September 27, 2013 Looks like you got some eatin to do. Do Michigan salmon cut red when they're that color. I'm from the west coast and am curious. Quote
brgbassmaster Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 No its like a whitish pink. Not like the alaskan salmon we used to catch nice bright red. But still tastes good. So far caught 8 myself this year. Quote
AJMichigan Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Dang kiddo, i've seen some big salmon pulled out of the grand this season but nothing that big! Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted September 28, 2013 Super User Posted September 28, 2013 Very Nice....seems like a good year from east to west. Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted September 28, 2013 Super User Posted September 28, 2013 Nice Kings ~ Cleary largemouth are named for their over-size yap. But would you look at the Gaping Maw on that fish . . . Looks like it could swallow your head. A-Jay Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted September 29, 2013 Super User Posted September 29, 2013 Out west I've seen people keep salmon that were so turned (black) that I thought there heads would come off the bodies as they carried them!!! UGH Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted September 30, 2013 Super User Posted September 30, 2013 Awesome fish! Quote
brgbassmaster Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 lol thanks guys. ya they taste great when cut into steaks and go into a frying pan with some seasoning, flour, butter and oil. Quote
AssassinAngling Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 People don't believe you can catch salmon on lures? On the Lower Niagara the most popular thing to use is J-13 plugs and huge spoons. Quote
Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted October 14, 2013 Super User Posted October 14, 2013 that's a huge salmon...... I bet that thing was delicious !! Quote
