.Alright so I've been trying out many different rods, but with my slight ocd it kind of bothers me that I have so many different rod and reel combos that aren't "the same." So I was wondering with your expierence and what not which of these rods seems to be the most sensitive in your opinion. Also which one you would choose and why.

*** Black (I own one pretty light/great backbone)

Abu Garcia Veritas (yes I know they are a little tip heavy and may have breaking problems)

Denali Jadewood (I have no expierence with these)

Falcon Bucoo (I know they are light and a little underpowered, but have never fished with one)

St. Croix Mojo Bass (I know they are heavy and tip heavy, but have never fished with one)

Thanks

Out of those I'd probably go ***.  I didn't like the Mojo at all (It had the sensitivity of a stick of butter) and have no experience with the others.  I have an *** and it is ridiculously sensitive, as they only offer extra fast tips anyways.  Mine is like a laser beam when making hooksets and I feel things I never felt before, and I can't imagine the *** would be all that far off in terms of sensitivity.

Just to make your life more complicated, don't forget the Shimano Compre. It's been my favorite 100dollar rod so far, though I haven't tried the *** or the bucoo.

Yes I do agree the *** is very nice/sensitive for the price. I've heard that the Mojo's aren't all that sensitive. Thanks for the input

I'd go after a bunch of lifetime warrantied used cumaras. They have a huge offering and are great feeling consistent rods. No reason to tally go above them sensitivity wise. You can feel mostly everything you need to.

I own a 7' MH Falcon Bucoo - Actually when I compared it to all my other rods, it's 80% similar to my Dobyns Champion 705CB Glass. Beats me as to why it is, because the Falcon is sold for texas rigs, spinnerbaits etc. (It is a great spinnerbait rod but I can tell isn't as sensitive as other rods because I can barely feel willow blades compared to my other rods)

If it were me, I'd take a leap of faith for the ***. But seeing as you've tried it, why not get another ;)

Your first mistake is asking this question on a forum.  By the time the dust settles on this thread the number of recommendations will be overwhelming, just adding to the confusion, there is no best only personal favorites suggested.  I would go to a tackle shop that has experienced help and get some one on one advice, that store may not have every rod available but will have something that's going to fit your bill.   Many of the older fisherman learned how to fish without new technology and did just fine, modern equipment only enhances what we already know.  Learning how to fish IMO is going to land more fish than any equipment one may be using, once you have the basics down pretty well, you will know what to buy.

I personally think sensitivity is vastly over rated.

I Absolutely, Positively, 100% agree with this statement. I think sensitivity is in the hands, not the rod, and my hand sensitivity is minimal at best. I have fished with high end rods, right on down to the BPS graphite series. Can't tell a whole lot of difference. I am sure this is not the case for everyone, so I just deal with it.

Of the rods you listed, I have the Mojos and Veritas. The Veritas gets the edge for sensitivity and balance. The mojo is better built, and has a longer warranty. The veritas's, in the same power/action as Mojos are lighter too. I am slowly replacing all my Mojos with Abu rods. The vendettas are also very nice. Imho....... Vendettas are as good Mojos, veritas's are slightly better, performance wise.

I have fished all the rods on your list minus the Jadewood.  My personal choice would be between the *** and the Falcon.  A majority of the rods I fish are made by Falcon, I enjoy the build quality and the customer service, the fact they are also made in the USA is a factor for me as well.   If you go with the Falcon, just adjust your choice of rod based on what you know and like about rod power and action.  They transmit vibration as well as any of the others on your list.

I am in the process of switching to all falcon bucoo rods.they are really light and plenty sensitive.sensitivity has more to do with line then anything else.
