My hottest topwater lure, ever is the BPS/XPS TOPNOCKER it's my hottest fish catching lure ever. I gave two of these to both my son's and within minutes they were catching bass on it too. Too bad BPS discontinued the awesome topwater fish catching lure or was it outlawed? Luckily I have six left. It works with any presentation. Now it went along with the flying lure to its tackle box grave what a shame.

All lures will catch fish at onetime or another. Some lures will catch more fish than others. I just don't understand why they discontinue such a hot topwater lure.

Recently Bomber discontinued the Bomber FAT A crankbait. It's one of my hottest crankbaits in the older proven fish catching colors. Luckily I have a big box of all these FAT A's in all the colors. This is my go to crankbait. These colors still work at all the places I fish at and the new places too.

Hint,

When we look at lures that are sold out or on backorder you know that's a hot lure and In demand.

A guy in a bass boat caught two nice bass near our dock.  I asked him what he used, since the grass was so thick there I couldn't get my lures through.  He showed me a Texas Rigged plastic worm.  He gave me some bullet weights, hooks, a bag of worms, and showed me how to rig it.  That guy changed my bass fishing forever.  I was probably 11 or 12 at the time.

Favorite lure is the zoom trick worm, the lure I caught my PB with  is a 4" senko. If bass ate a spinnerbait with abandon all the time that's all I'd throw.

Frogs!! When spro frogs first came out, I got one just to check out. This was all before I ever knew about BR. One day, while fishing nothing was working, I said what the heck, put the frog on and OMG!! The strikes and fish I caught were on unbelievable. Since then, I have used a frog as one of my main baits.

The Senko brought me back into bass fidhing. 50 years ago it was the original Floating Rapala.

Before that the Creme Purple Worm, Devil Horse and Lazy Ike.

Wow, that's a tough one. My PB was on a white spinnerbait. But the Jig is my "go to" lure. Meaning when I "go to" the lake, its always tied on.

Have a similar story, some twenty something years ago a couple of guys in a jon boat had a stringer of fat bass 3-4lb range.Caught them all on a "TOMATER'' colored worm. They gave me a handful and it wasnt long after and I was hooked on this worming technique, still am.

Frogs are by far my favorite lures. If I was forced to fish only one I'd have to go with a Bronzeye 65, I've tried many different brands of frogs over the years and most I never buy again but the original Bronzeye 65 hasn't left my tackle box since the very first one. My favorite right now is the Spittin' Wa 70 but the good ole Bronzeye 65 is the standard to me.

On a bit of a side note I can't wait for the Bronzeye Shad, gonna be a killer bait.

Shallow Shad-Rap in Shad for everything.  Wading creeks or streams, rivers or lakes in my kayak, fishing points out of my boat.  Whatever.  I almost always have a Shallow Shad-Rap tied on.  Now I use the scatters too.

Creme worm black split shot rigged tossed in the weeds. We would row the boat off the shore till the weeds disappeared, then anchor and fish the weeds and watch the line for movement.

I threw the split shot rigged black creme worm not too long ago in a local lake from shore. I caught a 4lb bass. On the first cast I got a thump. I thought the split shot hit a log or a rock. On the second cast he took it.

I think the plastic worms are still the number one bass bait even today.

Uh, no. That's not a rule that I would go by at all. In most cases that lure that is sold out or back ordered is one tht is low production because of low demand. That's generally true of everything in soft plastics and small hard baits. Yes, there are exceptions to the rule, but it's quite rare. In most cases lure manufacturers have a pretty good hold on what's popular, as do retailers, and they're not going to take lost sales on those items. They're going to be well stocked and well supplied.

Favorite lure of all time is a jerkbait. Period. Most productive lure of all that I fish is a jig.
