George DeHaven Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Caught this beauty today at Prompton State Park here in Honesdale, PA. I'm going to start trying to snap the pic BEFORE I take the lure out! I was using a 3/8 oz. BOOYAH! spinnerbait with a white skirt, gold willow blade AND silver Colorado blade in shallow water on a point. I reeled in ALONG the shore line and just as it passed a small group of lilly pads... WHAM! Today was also the first day out in the "new" jon boat. Quote
bighed Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Nice colors on that one! Congrats on getting out in the new ride too! Quote
Jucas97 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Very nice colors, healthy bass. Buzzbait strikes are always very exciting! Quote
Topwaterspook Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Cool black patch on the upper jaw. WTG on the boat. Tight lines. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted September 26, 2013 Super User Posted September 26, 2013 Nice catch and rig! Jeff Quote
Big Jon Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Nice, congrats on your boat as well. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted September 27, 2013 Super User Posted September 27, 2013 Good looking fish and boat! Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted September 27, 2013 Super User Posted September 27, 2013 Nice fish! I often try to take the pic with the lure still in the fishes mouth as well. It helps to give it some scale. Spinnerbait bite has been hot for me lately. Also been catching some on crankbaits. Mainly the Rapala Scatter Rap Crank. Quote
George DeHaven Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 Nice! Did you measure her? No. Didn't measure OR weigh it. I could take a guess and say that it was almost 4 lbs. and somewhere around 14-16" long. I don't eat fish but I love the sport! All the fish I catch get their picture taken and then go back in the water ASAP. I love it when they slowly sink back in the water and give me a chance to see them swim. 1 Quote
