gravestone Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Anyone use this ? Found a new spool of it in my stash, don't remember when I bought it but I spooled it up last week on a spinning reel only used it twice so I really cant give an honest opinion but I like the way it handles. Anyone have any experience with it ? Quote
BassCats Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 It is not as strong as their other lines. But a great line for spinning outfits. Quote
basshole8190 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I've got 30lb on one bc setups for open or sparse cover frogging its pretty decent braid not as good as 832 or power pro tho Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted September 27, 2013 Super User Posted September 27, 2013 I usually use the fused spiderwire, ALWAYS in a smoke color. For thicker line it really does a great job disappearing in the water, especially if it's stained or murky. Just make sure you pay attention to the line and watch for frays. I end up going through a lot of line because I'm really anal about that, but hey as long as it works well I don't care. Great line, super strong and only pickerel, musky or pike will break it with their teeth. Everything else is pretty much as good as in the boat. Also I always use a double palomar and have never had a lost knot with that line. Quote
fishguy613 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 ive got the ez braid on my spinning rod currently, am really not a fan of it. I have had three knots in two days, the line is noticibly kinked throughout. I really like spiderwire stealth 50lb braid, might try the 30lb version i recommend doing the same Quote
down4ttown Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 If you watch academy, you can get PP or 832 line for 14 bucks or less. That is the best way to go. Seaguar will go on sale occasionally too. Quote
deadadrift89 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 ive got the ez braid on my spinning rod currently, am really not a fan of it. Same here i picked up some beacause of price but wont be using anymore. I like my Power Pro much better. Quote
motodmast Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 i HATE the ez braid, only stuff i like from spiderwre is there stealth moss green, thats the only braid i use and love it 1 Quote
gravestone Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 Well used it 4X so far but haven't used it around rock. Been using PP and gave fireline crystal a shot {wont but that again} same as regular fireline...junk IMO. Verdict is still out on EZ braid, can't tell much w/ only 4X. I know when I surfcasted Suffix Preformance Braid was best by far. I will try the 832 next, a lot of guys here brag on it. Quote
craww Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 i HATE the ez braid, only stuff i like from spiderwre is there stealth moss green, thats the only braid i use and love it Got some stealth out of the clearance bin a few years back and its been good line. Smooth, color fade has been minmal, no unexexted break offs. I'm completely happy with it in 30lb on a baitcaster. 1 Quote
