I totally agree. A large snapper could have done this easily.

It's getting close to October so I'm betting it's Micheal Myers testing his new machete. He's probably like, "If I can chop a turtle's shell, I can chop a human skull."

It was clearly a squatch, using a large snapping turtle as a can opener, while fending off blows from Jason Voorhies and dodging shots from aliens with .45 acps riding a boat with exposed props.
