Fishwhittler Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Noticed on your website that two of the color selections are "Black/silver accents" and "Silver/silver accents". Do you offer both silver and black carbon-fiber handles? Quote
Super User Darren. Posted September 24, 2013 Super User Posted September 24, 2013 Like I said, I haven't got my hands on a Lexa yet, but I would bet that we save a lot of weight. This new handle only weighs 24 grams (assembled, with cork knobs) Send me a note at support@hawgtech.com. Let me know you're DarrenM from the forum. Thanks! Mike Mike, thanks for the info. I might even be willing to part with my Lexa 100 for a short spell if you need to borrow one to "measure" and whatever. Need to get permission from the BOSS of the checkbook before I take the plunge, but I'm VERY much ready to upgrade to your swept handle on my Lexa first, then my Chronarch 50e. Quote

Do you offer both silver and black carbon-fiber handles? Fishwhittler, No, we only carry black carbon fiber. Black/silver accents means black retainer and silver accent pieces (end caps, spindles, knob carrier). The heading used to say "retainer color" and now it says "color" so I can see how that might be confusing. Looks like I need to take a look at that again. Thanks! Mike Quote
Super User Montanaro Posted December 27, 2013 Super User Posted December 27, 2013 Speedbead, We definitely fit the Curado 300/301E and the Cardiff. We have not yet verified fit on the Lexa, but I am 99% certain we fit it. If you have a Lexa and would like to verify fit for us, we could probably work out a deal for you on a new swimbait handle... Have you got your hands on that Lexa yet? Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted December 27, 2013 Super User Posted December 27, 2013 The 94mm handle fits my Lexa 100 so I'd say it'll fit the 300 model also. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted December 27, 2013 Super User Posted December 27, 2013 I did and it looks very good. I ran into that thing we call "hunting season" and "winter" here in PA I'll get some pics for you guys. I'll even try and make them "artsy" for ya. Quote
Super User Montanaro Posted December 27, 2013 Super User Posted December 27, 2013 Should I go swept handle or straight? What is lexa100 weight with the 94mm? Quote
Grantman83 Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Should I go swept handle or straight? What is lexa100 weight with the 94mm?. The swept handle is lighter and better looking IMO. It looks great on my zillion and would look great on the lexa too. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted December 27, 2013 Super User Posted December 27, 2013 The 94mm handle assembly with shimano power knobs only weighs a few grams less then the stock lexa 100 handle. Quote
John G Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 The 94mm handle assembly with shimano power knobs only weighs a few grams less then the stock lexa 100 handle. Shimano knobs on a Diawa! Say it isn't so. LOL Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted December 28, 2013 Super User Posted December 28, 2013 Shimano knobs on a Diawa! Say it isn't so. LOL I'm not a fan of the hawgtech cork knobs. They seem very flat and feel funny to me. Your only other option is the shimano knobs. I wish they'd make handles with spindles that accepted daiwa knobs. I'm sure there is a market for it. Quote

Grantman83 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 My Crazy Cranker has the swept handle and shimano knobs. It is heaven lol. Best of both worlds. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 29, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 29, 2013 These are sweet handles for sure! What a way to bling out your reel! Quote
