Super User Raul Posted August 13, 2010 Super User Posted August 13, 2010 X2 My favorite bait; as of tonight, I've caught 510 fish so far this season on 5" grubs... 8-) Quote
farmpond1 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 What?!!! And not lug 25+ lbs of baits everywhere I go? What fun would that be? My vote is a 5 inch "senko" bait. They don't always work but IMHO they do more often than many/most. Quote
Mono Man in IL Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 4" Charlie Brewer Slider worm on a 1/16 oz Spider head Quote
ib_of_the_damned Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 If I had to choose one bait, it would have to be a 4.5" Bold Bluegill Roboworm. And if I had to choose just one rig to fish them on, it would be the drop shot. This combo is by far the most productive bait and rig ever! Quote
BassThumb Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 I would chose heavy spinnerbaits with a variety of blades and skirts. A spinnerbait is be one of the most versatile lures. Quote
WanaBe_Like_IKE Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 Alot of people do say that a Spinnerbait is the most versitle bait made. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted August 14, 2010 Super User Posted August 14, 2010 Some kind of topwater frog. I just get such sheer enjoyment out of using them. Quote

Yeah, add a jig spinner to a jighead rigged 5" curly tail worm and you 've got a lethal weapon. Like I said, with a good assortment of terminal tackle you can turn one bait into multiple baits, now that I think about it in more detail ........... looking at it in perspective if I knew back then when I began fishing what I know now ......... I wouldn 't have tons of tackle ! :-? But purchasing tackle is very fun. Quote
jbass Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 3/4 ounce football head brown craw pattern with pork chunk. All day, any day. The big ladies always will eat a craw. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted August 15, 2010 Super User Posted August 15, 2010 Very, very tough. Due to it's versatility, I would have to say a spinnerbait though because plastics don't work well in murky water. Quote
WanaBe_Like_IKE Posted August 15, 2010 Author Posted August 15, 2010 Wow 5 pages this is awesome! At first I said trick cause its so versatile but now (cause Ive never used a jig and barely use a spinnerbait) Im leaning towards a topwater frog cause topwater is just so fun Quote
NY_ANGLERS Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 white Roostertail 1/6 oz. catches everything under the water Quote
