I was thinking of trying to but on tube on a shakey head and see what happens. Was wondering if anyone has tried this?

That is my plan of attack tomorrow morning! Smash Tubes, Megastrike Craws and Megastrike 1/4oz Shakey heads.

They work best with solid  head tubes, otherwise you'll go through a lot of them if the fish are biting. A wide gap shakyhead hook will help a lot with hook up also.

Tubes are hollow, and collapse quite a bit on the hook set, very similar in theory to a hollow-belly frog. I have never had hookup issues with shaky head tubes.

One thing about these Megastrike Tubes is they are very soft and collapse easy. I say soft, but they're very durable if that makes sense.

Flipping tubes account for more lost fish than any lure I know of off the top of my head. With the exception of topwater lures
