Mccallister25 Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Im thinking of buying my second bow and was looking at the pse brute. Its affordable, and looks good. A lot of people love to talk **** about pse. I need some input on if anyone loves their pse, or have had problems with it. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted September 17, 2013 Super User Posted September 17, 2013 If its within budget why not bows are like guns can never have to many. Set one up for bow fishing or two big game set ups. I'm looking at maybe getting a new Hoyt spyder after this season an still keeping my Hoyt rampage. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted September 17, 2013 Super User Posted September 17, 2013 I shoot a PSE SS and love it. Ill probably buy another PSE after deer season this year. I want a dedicated pig set up. If your comfortable shooting it and like the way it feels. Then by all means get it. Quote
bgraham91 Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Just curious how much are you wanting to spend on the whole outfit? Quote
Mccallister25 Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 I dont want anything rediculous. Since Iv gotten into shooting my bow, and bow hunting im hooked.. But I can't do anything expensive. Id say i wanna go 400-500 bucks. Quote

It gets you a quality setup and doesn't break the bank all at once. Or if your really savvy. Buy one used and keep what you want on it and replace what you don't. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted September 17, 2013 Super User Posted September 17, 2013 Its not the BOW that makes the hunter its the MAN! Don't worry about what others think. I have a PSE Dream Season and a Mathews Drenalin, both great bows and both accurate. Try some local shops and see what you can pick up, for example I know of hunters that get a new bow, every 3-4 seasons and some older bows are just as good on the cheap. 2 Quote
bgraham91 Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I was just wondering because I have a bow for sale but I have a pse x-force now and i use to have a pse nova. I can't say anything bad about either one of them, and both have served me well. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 18, 2013 Global Moderator Posted September 18, 2013 My first bow was a PSE Nova, it was nicer than the Parker Mag Hunter that I currently use to kill deer every year. If you can shoot it well then the name on the bow doesn't make any difference. 1 Quote
Lewi Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 If you havent already purchased one yet you need to shoot the bow and decide if YOU like it or not. I didn't end up with what I "thought" I wanted and what was trending when I started looking for another. Long story short, they kinda choose you. Good Luck! -Lewi Quote
Capt.Bob Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Shoot one and if you like it go for it! Most companies today are making great bows, it's just a matter of preference. Most any bow can easily take game today with a little practice, and if you really practice they are all plenty accurate to suite most. Quote
JWOA Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Tht bow u mentioned is my back up bow(westhunts )...Right now Im shooting my Mission Ballistic...and it shoots faster than its IBO rating. I like my back up though especially for the long range shots. Quote
RolandoMesa Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Since you already got one. Drop the 500 on a bare bow. Then piece the rest together as you go along. It gets you a quality setup and doesn't break the bank all at once. Or if your really savvy. Buy one used and keep what you want on it and replace what you don't. That's exactly what I would do. Most combo bows come with crappy accessories so it's always better to buy the bare bow and add on. That is, if they sell the bow as a bare bow because some bow manufactures only sell them as combos. Good Luck!!! Quote
Super User RoLo Posted December 16, 2013 Super User Posted December 16, 2013 I've shot several brands of bows, but the Hoyt and PSE Pacer were my favorite compound bows. Roger Quote
A-Rob Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I've had a PSE stinger 3G for a couple years now. I've updated some of the parts to my personal preference but the bow is still going strong, no issues or complaints. It kills things. (Of course at that price point the stock parts aren't great but it allowed me to upgrade parts on my schedule while still using the bow) Quote
