what colors do yall have success with for beaver baits?

Yesterday, I did okay with the RI beaver in the color they call corn dog. It's a brown w/chartreuse tips.

Overall, darker colors work best for me. Black, brown, green, purple.

How do you guys fish these baits? I picked up some smallie beavers but havent had much luck with it. I've tried T-rigging it and dragging it with a football jig head. I fish in a river with light current.

It would be shorter to list the ways I don't fish them. Here is the list :

RI Sweet Beavers have always been durable and reasonably priced to me.

I t-rig mine and use them for pitching into cover.

I most always use R.I. sweet and smallie beavers and have had great success on both.

I usually tx rig them and pitch to cover but this morning i went out before the rain came and rigged  a smallie beaver upside down and while there was nothing of any size the 5 I caught absolutely crushed that bait. I can't say whether it was something they haven't seen, It could have been the front moving in I truly can't say but those strikes were vicious.
