Im looking to restock my supply of beaver type baits. I recently had success with the reaction innovations kinky beaver Okeechobee craw, but they are kinda pricey. Im trying to find the best looking beaver bait that I can get most in a pack with. Most of these baits seem to come in a 5-7 pack for around $5. Does anyone know of any other beaver style baits that come in larger quantities?

I just switched to these for the same reason.  I used them for the first time last weekend and was very impressed.  I like the Okeechobee craw and the sprayed grass color they offer.

Gambler ugly otter or bitters bait and tackle muskrat have good products and reasonably priced. The muskrat is a close match to the RI beaver and SK rodent style baits and it is a 10 count bag for 2.99 or 2-5 bucks. Gambler has the 50 and 100 count bags for products usually available at their online store.

I use the standard size one that is 4 inches long.  I have been using it with a 3/0 hook and a 1/4 oz weight and doing really well.

Check out the Big Bite Baits Yo Mama.  I believe they come 8-10 to a pack and are cheaper.  Also, the Zoom Z-Hog and Yum Wooly Bug are a little cheaper than the RI.

WRONG. Per TW..........

RI Beaver: $4.79 per 10ct. bag.........about .48 per bait

Zoom Z-hog $4.59 per 8ct bag..... about .57 per bait

Yum Wooly bug $.99 per 8ct bag... that's about .62 per bait

Reaction is the cheapest of those choices.

Yep, you're absolutely right.  I was basing my statement on the OP saying there were 5-7 per pack.  I checked everything else but didn't check that.

Kinky beavers are 7 per pack, but sweet beavers are 10, that makes the Kinky beavers @ $4.69 per bag ( .67 per bait) more than the Zoom and Yum. So were both wrong, and both right.......

The bigger one, it's listed at 4.3". I fish mine on a 4/0 hook with a 1/4-1/2 ounce pegged bullet weight. The Havoc Pit Boss is another good, cheap bait but I don't really consider it to be a true beaver bait because it has more of a flapping action than a glide like beaver baits. However, since you're fishing the Kinky Beaver, a Pit Boss may be a good alternative for you to check out. They are a great bait and one of my favorite flipping baits. For $2.99 for an 8 pack they're pretty tough to beat.

Dick's has had sweet beavers on sale the past two times I have went. They were $1.99 a pack. I bought every d**n bag at that price. It must have been a discontinued color for them or something (magic craw swirl- my favorite). I usually only buy craws and beavers. Worms work every now and then, but I have so much more luck with Jigs (craws) and t-rigged beavers. Be open to brands as they will all go on sale at academy. Rage craws were a $1.99 a couple weeks ago so I bought them. Then next week it was havoc products so I bough the pit boss. If you are open to all brands, you can really save some money and get a chance to fish different baits with different actions.

anyone use the zoom z hog as a jig trailer?

I haven't but it's on my list of things to try.
