Super User Oregon Native Posted September 16, 2013 Super User Posted September 16, 2013 Looks like the hawks are off to a decent start. First half last night wasn't so pretty but second half was great. Probably not a lot of hawk fans here out east but hopefully they will be offering you all some competition! Tight Lines Quote
hookedahawg Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 +1 Im a Seahawks fan, the only NFL team I care for really. I think we will have a good year. Quote
mrmacwvu1 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 If they get homefield advantage in the playoffs watch out. That place is electrifying. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 16, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 16, 2013 Not only did the 'Hawks blow out the 49'rs, the fans also set a new Guinness World Record mark for loudest stadium, at 136.6 decibels! Super User AK-Jax86 Posted September 16, 2013 Super User Posted September 16, 2013 Yea that defense was on fire last night! And they didn't have 3 or 4 starters on defense including their top pass rusher. Then Harvin is suppose to come back mid season. The Hawks will go undefeated at home, only way they lose is if they underestimate their opponent and don't play hard. If they somehow come out with the best record in the NFC and hold home field throughout the play offs they will go to the Suoer Bowl hands down. But last nights games against the 9ers was shocking when you think about how the 9ers handled the Packers so easily. Then you take in consideration that they were missing 4 starters on defense and Harvin on offense and still did what they did last night NFC championship Eagles @ Seahawks Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 16, 2013 Super User Posted September 16, 2013 Last night was a thumpin' no doubt. The season is looking good for Seattle. Quote

Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted September 16, 2013 Super User Posted September 16, 2013 I can actually say they are entertaining to watch. That takes alot for me to say. LOL Â I do wish Richard Sherman would be quiet though. Fun to watch, horrible to listen to. Quote

Offensively if we keep Vick healthy we can out score ANYBODY. Our defense on the other hand is another story. But it has been done before. We are strong on offense and struggling early on D. I have a feeling our D will come around and we will make a late run in the end of season into the playoffs similar to how the Giants did it first time.  The key is the health of Vick, McCoy, and Jackson without those 3 our offense doesn't work. Chip also needs to think about when we win the toss defer to the second half. That way put D out there first and if we get a stop take over the first half offensively and then you have the first possession of the second half to increase on our lead. Super User AK-Jax86 Posted September 16, 2013 Super User Posted September 16, 2013 Seattle having those NBA Players in their secondary is going to be hard for ANY QB. If my Eagles don't make the Super Bowl or playoffs for that matter I'm riding with Seattle.  and I love Shermans attitude. "I talk trash because I carry a big stick." Before last nights game he said that EVERY time he looks over to the 9ers sideline he aint looking at the players he's looking at the coach. Same coach that talked trash about him to scouts and GMs which he feels is why he slipped in the draft. I love players that carry a chip on their shoulder and use it the right way as motivation. Quote

Except the Chargers apparently........While i appreciate your enthusiasm i guess i have been tainted for far to long by far to many philly sports teams to count on anything or even bother to make predictions on success. The chargers had 2 TO to the Eagles 0 and they lost, that tells me a lot about the offense really. It is explosive for sure but i am not 100% sold on it as of yet.  I think the worst thing that can happen for the eagles is for Vick to have a great year (unless they win it all), he signed a one year deal so if he plays well it makes the team decide if they resign an aging QB or do they really build for the future.  McCoy and Jackson are studs for sure and i really wish Maclin was healthy. The defense is horrendous, not just bad or average--they are the worst i have watched. I am almost wondering if they were coached to try and grab the jersey from behind because i saw multiple players do it, with boykin doing it three times, and get caught. They can't tackle which is pretty basic stuff.  Luckily for them i see 8-8 or maybe 9-7 winning the division so they may get into the playoffs and get bounced in the first round unless the defense really comes around. They just haven't been the same since Johnson died and Dawkins left.... The Chargers beat us because of poor clock management that's all and Chip knows it. We scored too quick in the end instead of focusing on milking the clock since we know we have a Pop Warner defense Quote

We scored too quick in the end instead of focusing on milking the clock since we know we have a Pop Warner defense That game was lost long before the stupid clock management really but it didn't help for sure. The offense isn't designed to work slow so that is going to be a challenge they face all season. We saw the same thing against the skins in teh second half. While they can score quicky it seems to be difficult for them to go fast then slow then fast again. That may change as the offense matures but until it happens i think they need to blow people out and never let up on the gas, especially with the defense they have.  Your prediction of 10 or 11 wins is a bold one and looking at the schedule i find it difficult to see given the division usually splits games against themselves. Quote

Lmao I saw that on my bleacher report app and started dying laughing. Jacksonville football is so bad that they want Tebow. Henne and Gabert can't throw so you want to bring in Tebow? I don't know why they want him. He turned his back on Jacksonville when the jags wanted him but told him it would be back up role and he chose to go to NY for more fame and publicity. Quote

It is ok I Andre on 2 teams. Now that we won a superbowl and my era of players are all but dead I think I will transition to all Florida teams since UMD ditched the ACC I am rooting for the Gators. Miami looked good yesterday. That was a fun game to watch. The Jags are hopeless and the Bucs might as well be called the Jags because they suck just as much. 1 Quote

I still find it weird watching him in his suit and fresh hair cut on ESPN bringing the same intensity and wisdom that he did on the field. Ray Lewis dispite what people think is one of the most influential people when he talks. Still find it tough not seeing him on the field, ravens have always been the team I support in the AFC. Quote

Yeah a couple guys here at work are going when they get off. I have better things to do than worry about a silly football team. Jags GM don't want him and Kahn only sees $$$ when his name is mentioned. It ain't gonna happen because of the whole mess of he don't wanna play here we don't want him deal between him and the team ticking contest. Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted September 16, 2013 Super User Posted September 16, 2013 McCoy did play all 16 his rookie year and i believe the other two years he played 15. Â Last year he was banged up and played 12 but if they weren't out of it so early he said he would have played. Â Jackson is pretty much the same. Â Played all 16 rookie season then 15, 14 and 15 followed by last years 11 games. Â I do think some of the games he missed were coaches decisions though as he was suspended for being a diva a few times by the walrus. Â Â You ain't kiddin. Lol Ed got his ring and BOUNCED QUICK. It's a shame cuz I have a black authentic Reed Jersey that I would wear to the bar on Sundays if eagles weren't playing. I bet Suggs would have followed if he weren't under contract. Idk where the Ravens are going over the next few years but this year their division is wide open best team IMO is bengals and they don't really look like the run away team in that division I love how we hijacked the Seahawks thread talking about eagles, NCAA, jags, ravens lol. Seahawk fans you guys got Kap's number his two worst games came at the hands of your defense Quote
