Well we had a major nasty storm last night here in Northern NJ that was like no other in recent months...The lightning was something you would see in New Mexico...Flashes across the sky and big bolts that made you shivver....So I decided to hit the water with Dan this morning and we figured it was gonna be on fire or dead zone..Well, number wise, we caught alot of fish...ANd a multii species day is always good on top of things.....Action started first thing this morning, just as the lights came on, I had three over the rails before Dan hooked up....Nailed a bunch of Smallmouth on some new lures in my box..........We kept it moving and I fished deep (successfully) while Dan tried tubes on the bank(unsuccessfully)...Seems like the fall bite is picking up as all fish were hitting fast moving reaction baits all day for me....I ended up with @ 15 total and Dan got just the one nice Smallie and one Larry worth anything.....Looking forward to the next few weeks when the water cools just a bit more and the fish go into overdrive mode....Here's a few from today to prove it happenned....
