rvadog Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 After catching snakeheads two weekends in a row I feel the need for bass. Thinking about launching my kayak and doing some glades fishing. I have never been there so is this worth a trip this time of year? Any other advice on kayakable bass fisheries (any of the public parks or boat ramps) worth hitting up early am this weekend? Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted September 11, 2013 Super User Posted September 11, 2013 I would say to venture to Lox instead. I hear the reports that HP has too high of water, and that kills the fishing there. In Lox you can get into the flats for some seek and destroy fishing. Quote

rvadog Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 Where is Lox? I'm new to S. Florida. Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted September 11, 2013 Super User Posted September 11, 2013 Take 441 up to Loxahatchee rd, and go west till the end. Quote
rvadog Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 There's a boat ramp there? edit: That's a long ways from home! Might stick with a different species this weekend! Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted September 11, 2013 Super User Posted September 11, 2013 Its there, just looks like sand and gravel if you Google map it, lol. Quote
rvadog Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 What about Markham Park? I know there's a lot of snakeheads but maybe I can avoid some strikes by throwing T-riged worms and spinners instead of topwater. Or maybe I'll just embrace the snakeheads and do what ican to put a dent in their numbers. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted September 11, 2013 Super User Posted September 11, 2013 Stay out of Holiday. Last time I passed through there, the water was up on the parking lot. Quote
