JWOA Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 Yeah i use the pit boss as a trailer as well. Imo they are both great trailers.. the craw fatty has worked better in the summer and also in the in winter, theres not a whole lot of stuff on the fatty just your two craw pinchers.. they both are connected so you can just pull them apart or if the bite is slow and want something with less action just keep them together. As for t-rigging a craw fatty i dont like the bait by itself. so the pit boss is my go to for t-rigged in the havov line up.. Does the bait not look right to you if fished with a 1 ounce jig??? Quote
skeletor6 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Havoc Pit Boss, great T-rigged and As a trailer. Terrific action. Quote
ChrisAW Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Devil Spear, Subwoofer, and the new Backslide are the only ones I currently keep in my regular rotation. I only T-rig the Devil Spear with a heavy weight. Thats what it was designed to do, punching. But even just hopping this thing, or "stroking" it has gotten me bit in open water. Subwoofer I run on the back of a swim jig often, and had great results. But I do more often run a Swim Senko. The Backslide, even though it has little to no action, has been getting me a LOT of bites at the docks with the very slooooow fall and the little legs vibrating. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 14, 2013 Global Moderator Posted September 14, 2013 Does the bait not look right to you if fished with a 1 ounce jig??? The papa pit boss might be better for a big jig trailer. Quote
Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted September 14, 2013 Super User Posted September 14, 2013 it looks fine to me with a once jig on.. these aren't the only trailers i use.. i like using the craw fatties when im skippin under docks and over hangs Quote
jiggz125 Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I picked up some Craw Fatties today, I meant to get 1 pack of Pit Boss 1 pack of Fattys, I screwed up. Anyhow, I bought 4/0 Gamaktsu EWG hooks, will these work on texas right for these guys? Saw some posts/videos saying 3/0 was propper size...thanks Quote
das028 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 The havoc line of plastics are my favorite by far! I'm really liking the fatty craw, and the sweet beavers Quote
das028 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Meant to say rocket craw instead of sweet beaver, which are from a different line of plastics. Reaction innovations make those sweet beavers. I'd say they are my second fab line of platics Quote

jiggz125 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I got to use the Havoc Craw Fattys this weekend. I wasn't having much luck fishing it slow...I started casting and reeeling back to boat a moderate speed and had one nail it. The swimming action of them is a great..only caught 1 bass on them but 1 is better than none. I will be trying the Pit Bosses this weekend. Quote
BigMoneyGrip Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 A 3.5" Grass Pig in pearl white, on a 2/0 Mustad 1/16 weighted hook. It's like cheating. Quote
Bass Junkie Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I have not used the whole line of Havoc products, but I really enjoy throwing the Rocket Craw as a swimming jig trailer Quote
