Super User roadwarrior Posted September 29, 2013 Author Super User Posted September 29, 2013 This one's over, so FOX switched to the Cowboy - Chargers game. Denver dominates. I'm concerned about December trying to decided how much time the starters play. Stay sharp or protect their health? We went through this in the Elway Era. I think Denver should stay "balls to the wall". Run the table and win the Super Bowl. Peyton has the opportunity to set new records for every single season quaterback statistic. He might eclipse the Broncos greatest player, Mr. John Elway! It's pretty cool than Big John is the GM. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 30, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 30, 2013 Yea, Denver dominates weak teams. They've had it pretty easy so far with a soft schedule. I'm looking forward to seeing how they do against good teams later on in the season. 1 Quote

Pats Offense is starting to click. Now onto other NON-Contenders.... How about ave Joe and his 5 picks yesterday LOL man after the sweet win against houston then a loss to Buffalo. The Offense is pretty crappy. No run blocking. There is QB termoil in Tampa and Jax. Here is a local article....Vote for Tebow! http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=329834 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted September 30, 2013 Super User Posted September 30, 2013 Realizing that the general consensus is that Denver has played weaker teams so far, either way they still look very good in all three phases of the game. Despite being a Patriots fan, 4-0 New England still looks a little shakey. I wasn't very confident going into the Atlanta game last night but they pulled it off. It came at a cost - the season ending injury to V. Wilfork is a "Big" loss. A-Jay Quote
craww Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 The colts apparently now have a defense. They will be interesting to watch going forward. I like Andrew Luck. He hasn't had to air it out much this year because of their D. My Cowboys are gonna be a .500 team again. Anthony Spencer going down for the year is a big loss. Factoring in setting the edge and making plays in crucial moments, hes made just as much of an impact as Ware these last 2 years. Romo has to throw the ball down the field more. Dink and dunk is fine if you have a great D, but they don't. The rest of the east will bumble into the end of the year. Washington is showing flashes here and there, but if they cant get their running game going their sunk. Oakland nearly beat them yesterday.. Philly has a bad secondary and Vick isn't playing well. They have an easier schedule compared to other divisional teams going forward though. And the giants are BAAAD. Quote

The Pats will adapt to losing big Vince, the only player they cannot lose is Brady. Quote

The Pats will adapt to losing big Vince, the only player they cannot lose is Brady. Perhaps - but don't forget a few years back they went 11-5 with Tommy Boy. Clearly they had a different team back then so I'll agree that a QB on this team is even more important than ever. I was glad to see that Mr Brady has decided to tone down the side line temper tantrums. If his receivers ever showed him up like that after a bad pass there would be H. E. double Hockey sticks to pay. That 4th down fumble / muffed snap proves he's got at least one part of his own game to improve on. A-Jay Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 30, 2013 Author Super User Posted September 30, 2013 Geez... First game against the Super Bowl Champions is considered a weak schedule? I guess we'll have to see how well the competition holds up, but going forward Denver plays KC twice and the Patriots, both currently 4-0. Weak schedule or not, Peyton's stats are off the chart. I hear you Kent, but you do know that some of the better members of that team have are whatever reason playing else where. As I said, Denver looks Scary good. A-Jay Quote

Didnt you know the Ravens decided not to defend their title this season when they gutted the team and threw money away to the anti-Peyton, average Joe who did his best Eli impression Sunday. A we all know the key to Peyton's success is the Papa John's lol Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 30, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 30, 2013 You're calling the 0-4 Giants a contender? Really? What's the color of the paint you're huffin'? 2 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 30, 2013 Author Super User Posted September 30, 2013 No, not at all. I don't think anyone expected the Ravens to fold or the Chiefs to bounce back like they have so far either. Overall, the Bronco's schedule may be easy, but when you are "The Team To Beat" I expect all the competition to kick it up a notch. The same can be said for all of the teams facing the Sea Hawks, too. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 1, 2013 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 1, 2013 There's no question the Seahawks have had a tougher schedule than the Broncos so far, hands down. There's no debating that. Also, the Dolphins have had a tougher schedule, and they're undefeated as well. in fact, the Dolphins beat the Jaguars by a bigger margin than the Broncos, and yet...it seems Denver gets all the accolades simply because they have Manning. I'm not saying Denver isn't a good team. But over-hyped? Yup. If it weren't for Manning, I doubt they'd be getting nearly as much media love. 1 Quote
