Super User flyfisher Posted December 16, 2013 Super User Posted December 16, 2013 Being an Eagles fan, I am sure happy that the Dallas December collapse continued. It does make me mad though that the Eagles didn't get the job done in Minnesota and now it will come down to one game in Dallas for the division. Unless of course dallas loses to the deadskins next week and the eagles beat the bears.... Quote
Super User tomustang Posted December 22, 2013 Super User Posted December 22, 2013 Week 16 and the NFC East is still trying to figure out who's going to the playoffs, how many times this going to happen? Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted December 22, 2013 Super User Posted December 22, 2013 the skins had the win too........ Quote
Super User tomustang Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Who are these birds? 21-0 first quarter Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Who are these birds? 21-0 first quarter same ones as all season, well after Foles came in, with the exception of last week.....I am still mad about the skins blowing the sure win Quote
Super User tomustang Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 same ones as all season, well after Foles came in, with the exception of last week.....I am still mad about the skins blowing the sure win What a shame. At least the bears game was enjoyable Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Lions really blew it yesterday, no surprise to Detroit fans as the William Clay Ford jinx is still in full force. Quote
craww Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 The north was there for the taking for sure. Playoffs start next week in dallas...MAYBE* Sean Lee comes back. Philly offense will be tough with all the dallas injuries and no pass rush. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Big game next week and felxed to Sunday night....again. I am not worried in teh slightest abotu hte Eagles offense as they have been putting up points for well over half the season now. The defense has been playing very well with the exception of the minnesota implosion. THe defensive pays like htey did last night and next game should be a good one. I just hope the refs can let the guys play and not take their normal pro-Dallas stance Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Seattle must be saving themselves....Slumps over and it's on to wins!!!! Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Seattle must be saving themselves....Slumps over and it's on to wins!!!! I was shocked to see Seattle lose and bad time to lose one at home....shoudl be exciting the next few weeks. I just hope the Eagles are playing two weeks from now. Quote
Super User Teal Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Carolina is quietly doing it. Yesterdays game was a testiment to the versatility and adaptability. Even tho he offense struggled most of the game the other two phases were lights out and Cam found a way to win it when given the opportunity. Kudos to my much loathed Saints on one hell of a game. Disappointments from yesterday were Chicago and Miami, I mean what the crap... Kudoss to the cowboys. Romo looked pretty good late on the game. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Carolina is scary good......Romo looked average against a horrible defense. I did expect a little more from Chicago but I am not complaining one bit. I'll be the first to admit that I was very skeptical of the Eagles this year with new coaches, new schemes on both offense and defense but they are coming together at the right time. I cannot wait to watch the game next sunday night!! 1 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 23, 2013 Author Super User Posted December 23, 2013 Well, as we approach the playoffs the best teams face one and done. Although Peyton may have the best quarterback statistics in NFL history, the Broncos defense is still questionable. What really makes Denver fans nervous is last year's loss to the Ravens. Other than the Baltimore crowd, I don't think anyone thinks "the best team" won that game. At any rate, nothing rally matters without the Lombardi Trophy. Quote

Baltimore, although I hate them, beat Denver, the Pats and the 49ers, arguably the 3 best teams in the NFL last year. Winning one of them games is an upset, all 3, in a row, makes you the superior team, by far. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 23, 2013 Author Super User Posted December 23, 2013 You make a good point, the Ravens beat VERY good teams with everything on the line. I will concede. The Hail Mary was just incredible! Quote
craww Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Romo is out for the season..Orton is on deck. He looked BAD in the preseason. Quote
craww Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Now Garret is saying Romo is day to day. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 He won't says he's out until the weekly wednesday medical staff rules him out. Even then he could still be questionable going into the friday medical clearance tests where he will all be certainly be ruled out. Philly has the playoffs in the bag. Their secondary is finally (somewhat) clicking. They were godawful for most of the season. Von Miller out for Den. really hurts their already struggling D. This was NO div to lose and they most likely will. The lions got unlucky that the NYG team that wants to play showed up and did what they do every year...crush dreams. If romo is out (which i assume he is) i hope they flex chi vs GB over philly/Dal to SNF. the first quarter of last nights game was fun to watch but after that was hard to stomach. It's fairly inevitable that the same scenario will play out vs an awful DEF and an OFF w/o romo that just won't be able to keep up. chi/GB will at least be entertaining. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted December 23, 2013 Super User Posted December 23, 2013 The Eagles are hot right now. I don't know if it will matter if Romo is in there or not. The Eagles look like a very different team compared to their first meeting. Quote

They need to keep their eyes open and not let this blow out let them get sloppy Quote

They need to keep their eyes open and not let this blow out let them get sloppy i would say more of a one game anomaly there...they won 5 straight before that and then blew out the bears. The offense has been clicking for 7 weeks and the defense had true one lapse against the paltry vikings. Still looking forward to sunday even without Romo. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted December 24, 2013 Super User Posted December 24, 2013 Hard to Like Romo out on a December game lol Who knows if this is good or bad, I don't know anything about the next in line qb in dallas Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted December 24, 2013 Super User Posted December 24, 2013 Hard to Like Romo out on a December game lol Who knows if this is good or bad, I don't know anything about the next in line qb in dallas orton was okay at best 4-5 years ago. the romo/no romo factor makes all the difference. i don't honestly see orton being able to keep up /w philly's OFF. Foles is the real deal. Even if for some fluke occurrence(knock on wood) foles gets another concussion, it will be embarrassing watching the "back up" Vick, who i assume by this time is "healthy", run for 150 yds vs the DAL Def that can't stop a parked car. Quote
craww Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 The Dallas D is starting to get some people back. All 3 starting lb's have been out lately. Sims just got scratched for sunday, but wilber is just as good. Carter returned and played his butt off sunday and Sean Lee may return this week; that's a key to watch. The defense is capable of being much better than the stats indicate. Yes they give up yards but lost is the fact that they take the ball away, especially when theres a passrush. The weak links are an as of late absentee pass rush (ware looks OLD) and playing rookie SS types (wilcox/heath) in centerfield. If kiffin and marinelli can find someway to get pressure, like when they beat the brakes off philly earlier this year it could be interesting. On the other hand if Orton starts who knows what will happen. Heck if Romo starts who knows what will happen for that matter. Quote
