NathanW Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I have been waiting for this for 29 years! Watching and rooting for a team with my family growing up I am an emotionally invested fan. A blowout of this fashion, even against a great all around guy like Payton, every minute of it felt good!!! I am sure that most of you have the same type of bond to a sports team. I truly hope that you HAVE or WILL GET TO experience a championship win like this! (Unless you are a 49ers fan of whom I wish nothing but season after season of disappointment....) 2 Quote
craww Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Defense still wins championships. Congrats Seattle! Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 3, 2014 Super User Posted February 3, 2014 Glenn, Enjoy the win. Looking forward to redemption next year! Go Niners! Quote
shootermcbob Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Congratulations to the Seahawks and their fans. I thought Seattle looked bigger, faster, more athletic, and much better prepared. Not surprised Seattle won, but am surprised how completely dominant they were. As a side note, did anyone see the story about Jake, the little boy who lost his vision and is now playing high school football....Pete Carroll and USC players "adopted" the boy. Very touching, and kind of portrays Carroll in a whole new light. I also think the fact that Carroll pushes his players so hard, to be so physical, and to compete so thoroughly in every way, and they LOVE him says he is really doing something really, really right. Keep in mind also, and I am sure Glenn has/is, the Seahawks are a very young team. 1 Quote
coryn h. fishowl Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 WHY BRONCOS WHY?! Well, they just crapped away Manning's last chances at another Superbowl win. 4 neck surgeries in a year...Manning doesn't have long left *sigh* At least we still had the commercials...and Drew Brees bringing the Saints the the bowl next year!!! NathanW Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I dont think Manning is going anywhere soon. Would he really quit after a best ever, not just for him but for anyone, regular season? If a team like the Panthers, Cardinals or Eagles sneak by SF/Seattle/NO and make it to the Super Bowl Denver would have a pretty good shot at winning it. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted February 4, 2014 Super User Posted February 4, 2014 It's going to be very difficult for Manning and the Broncos to repeat the season they had last year. With that said it's hard to count them out in any way next season. Let's just hope Payton has enough in him to make another run. This was quite the demoralizing loss for them. Eli's face was priceless when they panned to him. Quote
