Drewski73 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 If youre using keitech swing impacts as swimjig trailers, DO NOT I repeat DO NOT bite them if they get torn up. Use your pliers. You'll thank me later. Im 3 pieces of gum and a gatorade into it and I STILL taste it! On the other hand, bravo to keitech for the scent! Great little trailers. They kick at very low speed which is great. 2 Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted September 6, 2013 Super User Posted September 6, 2013 i made the same mistake with havok jerk shads. wish they but some sort of label on them. Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted September 6, 2013 Super User Posted September 6, 2013 The swing impacts are great on finesse swimjigs. If you want more weight, a bigger profile, more thump, and side to side wiggle try the "fat" swing impact. The 3.8 inch size is the perfect size but I do run the 4.8s when I am looking for a big bite. Great trailers! Quote
Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted September 6, 2013 Super User Posted September 6, 2013 Hahaha I've done the same things! Quote

Super User Chris at Tech Posted September 7, 2013 Super User Posted September 7, 2013 Just swish some JJ's Magic around in your mouth. Problem solved Quote
Brian6428 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I think I'm missing something here, why do you guys bite them? Quote
Koofy Smacker Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I think I'm missing something here, why do you guys bite them? Ive used mine on swimjigs, swimbait jigheads and various other applications. Almost always when the head gets torn up I bite the head off and throw it in a pile to use for drop shotting later. Great drop shot bait with or without the head! Quote
Drewski73 Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 I think I'm missing something here, why do you guys bite them? After a few fish, the bait will be torn up. Sometimes where the hook exits the bait tears. When that happens, if you remove 1/4" of the head, the hook exits a fresh piece of bait and voila, a usable trailer! Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted September 9, 2013 Super User Posted September 9, 2013 The other thing you can do is save the trailers and apply a product called mend-it to the bait. This will get another "life" out of the bait and help off set costs of pricey plastics. Saves me probably well over $100 in plastics a year. Quote
PABASS Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I just received my first pack of the keitech's last week and WOW do they stink. They have some of the best action though, so worth it.. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted September 9, 2013 Super User Posted September 9, 2013 LOL, they are some of the stankiest baits around. Quote
