Last month had great results! We did run into a few issues as far as measuring the fish though. The rules for measuring the fish is going to be simple, THE ENTIRE fish must be in the photograph for it to take credit for all the inches claimed in the photo. For example... if I entered this fish claiming it was was 16" it would only count for 11.5" (what is visible in the photo).

When you have the bass on the tape measure it will be measured from the tip of it's lip to the END of the tail. Whether this is the wrong or right way of measuring the fish it is an easy and quick way to measure, photograph, and then release the bass. Once again it is a friendly competition, it is for fun and to share the love of bass fishing!!!

I will provide a prize to the winner, thank you Shane for providing it last month... The prize has not been decided yet, i'll continue to think...

If there is any critical points I missed let me know... If anyone is new this month here is a link to last months contest it has the layout of the competition... http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/122653-whos-wants-in/

Hope to see some pigs soon!

Count me in, homies. September in the NE is a great month to catch some serious fish, so there will be pigs! I will be around as much as possible, but this month I have a ton of stuff going on with my son's school and soccer, but I'll get out whenever I can, and have a little fun! See you fellas on the measuring tape! Good luck, all!

Managed 5 dinks today. Start my new job tomorrow that has slightly different hours than my last but I will no longer be able to fish after work. I do not foresee hitting the 100" plateau this month. Anyways here are my 5 fish of the day.

Fish #1 = 15 1/2"

Bob,  where is Lovell ?

a bunch of these this morning at the Nashua river (this is the longest one) and 12 smallmouth to go with them tonight. (The biggest smallmouth was 15 1/2) was up at the Merrimack river up in the Concord area for the smallmouth tonight. Nothing big but still some fun fishing with the 14 yr old in the canoe

She short but fat, dd you weigh and what you catch it on?

Did not weigh them,  they were fat , most of them ,  even the smallies were fat.   easy to get a length by setting it on the canoe crossmember i just made.  makes pics quick and easy.  no need to weigh them at this size.   was for sure not 4+ .  i stopped keeping a log book of what , when , where ,conditions, size of what i catch. Just enjoying fishing itself.

Many were caught fishing a white top water weedless mouse, many were caught with a keel weighted rage craw off of the bottom,  redish color,  dont remember the exact color name.   No electronics to look for hidden underwater cover, so we just fished what looked like it should hold some fish. to the edges of the faster moving water, most of it was at areas with under water grass.

Most of us post the weight as well, but some of our scales are off/different that why we count inches as points...

I'm in assuming I can catch a fish, if it were a contest to see who could bring in the most tonnage of milfoil I would win hands down.

I'm in. Dana(marinetechnician) also. Going to Androscoggin Lake/Dead River tomorrow. Hoping the rain we've had and cooler weather has dropped water temps. Last weekend on Damariscotta Lake it was TOUGH fishing. Good topwater bite early, then the sun came out. Think we went close to 6 hrs without a fish.
