Anyone using it on spinning reels? How do you like it? Looking for a mono or copoly with low memory and good abrasion resistance.

I love it McCoy Mean Green is awesome copolymer!  I use it primarily on my bait-casters for treble hooked lures and love every aspect of it from knot strength, to abrasion resistance, to limpness.  I turned my Hawg Tech, partner, Mike, onto it a couple of years ago and he thinks its the best thing since the Hawg Handle!

X2   This was the only line I used on my spinning gear for more years than I care to admit.  I got away from using spinning gear and when I picked it up again, I'd forgotten how much I liked this line.

I have been using McCoy for over 10 years on both spinnin and BC and not one break in all that time..thats good enough for me not to ever change lines.

I have Mccoy on all of mine. I usually throw 15, but the local store (yes I am lucky enough to have a local store that carries it) was out, so I went 17 this summer. I throw 10 on spinning reels. Great line.

I've been using braid for a long time but sometimes it's a PITA especially when you get snagged ! So in some situations i'm looking to use mono. I also have a local shop that keeps a good supply of McCoy line in stock.

I've been using this line exclusively for 5 years now and it has never failed on me ever. It's strong and has low memory. I have never heard of a bad review for this line either. You won't regret trying this line especially if your local shop carries it.

Just a warning, their fluorocarbon is garbage. "Birdsnest out of the package" is what i call it. Even kvd treated line kinked bad and that made it difficult to throw without bird-nesting. One of the worst lines I've used. I used the clear blue mccoy fluorescent mono for a couple of trips this summer. It was okay line, but it had some coating on it I didnt like. it made the line feel frayed even though it was new. Never used the mean green line. Izorline XXX is the best copoly/mono that I've ever used. Trilene XL for light spinning has always been smooth for me as well, but the Izorline seems to last longer. For around $16 you can get 1700 yards of it also.

x2 your better off buying another brand of fluoro. Also, the braid is not my favourite either.

The Mean Green is amazing though. I was thinking of placing an order of the clear blue fluorescent, but I might have to pass from your review since their other lines were flop.

Sorry to hear this because I recently bought some to try.  I'm not a fluoro user having it on one rod.  Using Spiderwire brand currently.  Seems to handle alright for me.  Sure don't like how it looks when you have to break it, tho.  Was necessary to cut several more feet off.

Suffix 832 on everything,,,,,,and leaders I have found to be the best,,,,,,Fluorocarbon Seagar InvisX or Tatsu, and Mono I use Trilene pick your poison, been all I have found that pleases, but the one brand I have heard very few complaints about, such as the lines I already mentioned, is Yo Zuri, but would like to, unlike this McCoy and all the other's I haven't mentioned, some love em, but just as many have complaints, must be something to it!

For the record, I only use McCoy mean green as my go to Co-polymer.

For braid IMO stick to Samurai, Suffix, or Power Pro Super slick all pretty good.

Plenty of good rubber band line aka mono out there, Trilene XT, XL, and Big Game

As far as flouro, I only use it for leader never as complete main line since I haven't found a good one that is limp enough and has he right qualities for casting.  Leader material is not limp and is much more abrasion resistant, plenty of good leader line brands for flouro.
