Favorite Soft Plastic for Drop Shot?

I know for me it has got to be fat roboworms... but I am looking to branch out.

I've been successful with many, but if limited to one choice...Zoom finesse worm, junebug in stained water, watermelon/red in clear water.

I really like this question. I'm trying to get more into dropshots myself. I'm using *** 4" drop shot worms. Had hits just nothing to take due to my own fault not paying attention to the hits while working a wacky on another setup. I had a guy at BPS explain to me how to work dropshots and carolina rigs.

I have many, but if I HAD to pick one it would be a green pumpkin Zoom tiny fluke soaked in gulp juice. That thing will catch crappie and perch for the pan, keeper bass during a tournament when the bite is tough, and 5lb + Smallies.

Anything 4"-5" in the Bold Bluegill color worm by Roboworm.  When I just want to get bit I throw a 3" Creme Trout Worm that are $0.99 at wal mart.  I have caught so many small bass on this worm, big ones too every now and then.

Are the people who like the swimbait or fluke type baits fishing those differently than say you would a worm on a drop shot?  I know for me I get the best results just letting my worm sit for a few seconds then dragging it along the bottom for a few feet then letting it sit again.  I fish in mostly shallow water so I am more horizontal anyway.

  I guess what I am asking is do you have to give non worm type baits more action or do they work just as well letting them sit?

To those who have used the LFT Magic Shad as a drop shot bait, are you nose hooking it or t-rigging them? I have only t-rigged them a couple times, didn't really give it much of a shot...

Ah man, thats a tough question.... I have several answers:

Worm: Luck E Strike 4 inch ribbon tail (either blue or purple (the blue smell awesome!)).

Fluke: Whatever fluke I have in my box HA Skippy Fish makes a great product that I have been loving so far!

Shad: Tru-Tungsten Depth Shad (yeah, it's kind of like a fluke, but who cares HA).

I always nose hook my drop shots with octopus hooks (usually a size 1 or 1/0). You get more action out of doing nothing when you nose hook.  I really need to start drop shotting more though. I'll admit, it's one technique I don't do enough and I should!

Zoom Magnum Finesse Worms do the trick when the fish are biting pretty good. If you need to downsize and go, in my opinion, true finesse the regular Zoom Finesse Worms are excellent.

Berkley realistix 4 inch minnow. Tough bait to come by though and I think they only sell them in the blister packs now that come with 2 pre rigged on jigheads and a couple spares.\

Kinami/Yamamoto kut tail worm 4 inch and 5 inch can't go wrong.
